Hattons allegedly link up

Why did he bother? Months down the line and they've not come close to putting a card together. Martin Murray in the prime of his career sat wasting away. Now they've put Browne-Towers on a matchroom card. It makes no sense. It's November that fight they could easily put a card together in November with Murray headlining and they now have the tv deal to put the shows on. Anyone know why we aren't getting any shows?

I was wodnering this why we havent had any announcement from Hatton or the other ones who signed the deal with BN , apart from FRamptons fight.

FWP (or Queensberry, or whatever they are now called) have one show scheduled in the next few months.

Over these next few months, Hatton fighters Etches, Jenkins and Towers are all scheduled to appear on Matchroom shows.

What was the point of the link-up with Warren?

That's because there's very little substance behind the 'major' announcement.

Maloney - had Price-Thompson II the weekend afterwards. With his golden goose losing again (and probably leaving him), I suspect Frank will be heading into retirement.

Khan - he's not really a promoter. It's just a deal to show his fights on BN - there won't be any other cards on top.

McGuigan - same as above but Frampton instead as Khan. Could bring through other Irish prospects in time.

Hatton - the one that confuses me. Can't understand why he can't put on Murray, Towers, Askin etc on cards. His stable has depleted but there's still enough names. Leave these guys on the shelf for much longer, though, and he will fast be out the game.

At the moment, it seems BN is going to be Queensbury + Frampton when it comes to domestic shows, Golden Boy in the US, plus any other worthwhile international shows (Sauerland, Klitschko, etc.).

Maybe they're having trouble getting opponents. On top of that I have a feeling they're waiting for Barker to fight Sturm and then if he gets the win hopefully get a shot at Barker.

Warren has 2 shows next weekend, the Friday one isn't on the schedule for some reason though, headlined by Scott Harrison-Stephen Ormond, it's the Debra charity dinner show at the Hilton hotel.

Mmmm....

Noticed Eddie Hearn has added Richard Towers Vs. Lucas Browne to the Hull show on the 2nd November. Aren't both promoted by Hatton?

Think warren's days are numbered now as a top promoter. The matchroom team seem to have the cream of the domestic crop.

Really doesn't make sense does it you would think Hatton could build a decent card around this fight and put it out on allegedly there must be more going on behind the scenes hear for hatton to put two of his biggest names on a matchroom show

Wasn't aware of this one, haven't seen any press releases. Do you know who else is on the card?

Gary Cornish and Simon Vallily are the only ones on the schedule, but I think Steve Collins Jr might be on, he's either on there, or the Copper Box show, his twitter's a bit confusing, he confirmed 21st September as his next fight, but yesterday he put this "Friday week mate, it will be on @allegedly" so he could be on there as well.

Never write FW off. He's been through a lot over the years and always bounced back. Also he's just come to some kind of financial arragement with the guy who owns Rainham Steel who is worth 200 million or something like that. If he starts investing they'll be able to start signing fighters again.

Can't rule FW out. He still has a decent stable, and importantly seems to be signing some decent young talent.

Hatton's promotional company seems to be dying a very slow death. He has just put, arguably, the biggest inter-promotional fight he can make on a rival's show. It makes Hatton Promotions (and the promotional collaboration) look like a bit of a joke, to be honest. If I was Murray I'd be looking to get out sharpish!

I wasn't criticising as I am a massive advocate of the channel, but for a channel that originally said that they would have 2 live shows a week they are quiet at the moment. Like everyone else cant wait for Saturday & the Copperbox show but once they are over the channel schedule is very thin.

If we can cut them some slack in the 'off' season then they'll make us happy in the 'on' maybe? The Mayweather show is a blinder as is the Copperbox; look at the alternatives - we don't live in a perfect world
