Fully deserved too. His Trainer Mr Bowen said he'd trained hard for the fight and it showed and you could see how much it meant to Carl when his hand was raised. Well done lads.

Carl was a right handful back in the day.

When I drew with him he was about 13th in the uk and had ko'd British champ dazzo Williams and drawn with future British champ lee meager and England am Colin toohey.

Thought he'd beat Joe Collins. He gave Tyrone Nurse a tremendous fight a few years back.

Carl has a proper dig on him too, legend of a bloke.

What age would Carl be now? Thought he had long retired. Fair play to him on the win.
