Professional boxing returns to Walsall Town Hall in November with EJKO Promotions’ mouth-watering ‘Double Trouble 2’.

The show, on Saturday, 16th November, features a British Title Eliminator and British Masters Title fight at the top of the bill as well as seven intriguing undercard bouts.

After recovering from their respective injuries, Cradley’s Chris Male (12...-1) and Coventry’s Troy James (14-2-1) go head to head for a shot at the British Super Featherweight Title.
There’s also a title on the line. Stourbridge’s former Midlands Area Welterweight Champion, Steven Pearce (7-2) takes on Stafford’s Rob Hunt (17-2-2) for a British Masters Welterweight strap.

28-year old Pearce will be entering the ring for the first time since losing his Midlands Area Title to Sam Eggington in April and will be keen to get back to winning ways.

Hunt, 27, made an impressive return to the ring earlier this month with a convincing victory over Andrew Patterson at the Town Hall having been inactive since bowing out of Prizefighter with a deep cut at the turn of the year.

“It’s going to be an exciting show,” explained Promoter, Errol Johnson. “Male and James is a real 50/50 fight, so is Pearce and Hunt.
There’s not much separating the fighters so boxing fans are in for a real treat. We’ve got seven fights on the undercard too, so it’s going to be some night.”

Walsall’s, Chris Keane (10-1), is chief support. The Midlands Area Cruiserweight Champion defeated experienced Lithuanian Remigijus Ziausys for a second time earlier this month and will be looking for a sterner test this time around.

West Bromwich welterweight, Tom Stokes (3-0), will be hoping to make it a hat-trick of victories in his third professional fight whilst Tipton featherweight, Lee Glover (7-1), is also in action.

Stafford’s undefeated super middleweight, Grant Cunningham (8-0) features alongside Stoke lightweight, Andy Keates (7-1) and debutants Lennox Clarke (Halesowen super middleweight) and Ainsley Ratcliffe (Tipton flyweight) complete the card.

Tickets, priced at £30 and £60 Ringside, are available from Walsall Town Hall Box Office on 0845 111 2900. The aftershow party will take place at The Pitch Sports Bar and Grill, Bridge Street, Walsall

Lol well with chris being my cuz so am I. Very tough fight for both lads but very confident chris will come thru as the winner. I'm sure @boxingcutsmen is also confident so has the making of a small hall. classic. Some good lads on the under card to unbeaten grant cunningham and big puncher chris keane. @counter-puncher r u going the show.

Now I like troy as he's a local ladand hope he can bring the title back but howhas he got a shot? He's not won an english title yet

Its not a title fight mate its an eliminator for british title. The winner will b right up in the mix for a title shot.

It's only a British Eliminator so no title on the line or to win. James has a decent record too and went the distance with arguably a top 3 lad in Flannigan who didn't have it all his own way.

I wud mate gunna b a great small hall show. 2 50-50 top of the bill fights and 7 under card fights for £30 is value for money. Hope sky send a camera down for footage for ringside.

I'll be there. There's always an electric atmosphere at the town hall. It's also good to have competitive fights at the top of the bill

I expect Male to win a close fight on points. If the Pearce/Hunt fight goes the distance then I expect Hunt to win but if it's a stoppage then Pearce will take it, it's a very tough one to pick!

two decent 50/50 scraps that both localish derbies too (should hopefully make for a good atmosphear).

Not been to Walsall Town Hall since Gavin v Welborn, might go to this as long as the bill stays the same.

I'm expecting both our lads to win by stoppage tbh, Troy rds7-9 & Chris inside 4-5. Having saying that, both have got good, tough fights (genuine tests) but expect both to show there class and power.


Gonna be another great show for the local area & boxing, no matter who you support, if your local to the Midlands don't miss it.

Can't tell you yet, but he's a proven fighter, only lost a couple and been a champion.

Well fight week is here all the hard work done and the weigh-in is friday. Can't wait for saturday night gutted grant cunningham pulled out but sud b a great show. Massive fight for chris male and troy james proper 50-50 fight with the winner pushing towards a british title fight

all lads weighed-in today at 1pm.

chris male weighed 9st3lb 2oz troy james took 2 attempts ended up naked on the scales but weighed dead on the limit for their british super featherweight title eliminator.

rob hunt weighed 10st 6 and ste pearce weighed 10st 6lb 6oz for their british masters welterweight title

can't not wait for tomorrow night

You've got to think that making the weight had took a fair bit out of James. Hope it's a good night mate.
