Shoot me down please if you wish, but is it totally ridiculous for Naseem Hamed to be included near the bottom of that list somewhere?

It's harder to post because of format but not that much different than ESPN's list at first glance.

The top 10 isn't terrible, though Charles should be a clear top 4, things go down hill starting with Marciano, Dempsey & Chavez all being considerably too high.
I don't see Pryor as top 100.
As usual, Tommy doesn't get his just due.

Totally ridiculous. He should be nowhere near that list. He shouldnt even be allowed to read it.

I'm pretty sure this list pre-dates the 2003 100 Greatest Punchers list from The Ring. Do you know the Time Period that Ring printed this list ThatOne?

I wouldn't have Lopez that high. Holy/Holmes is close factoring in Cruiserweight though I think I would side with you.

No greats like Holman Williams and Luis Manuel Rodriguez in this list. Felix "Tito" Trinidad should not be in. And if he does, he should have been in the 70s, just like Oscar De La Hoya.
The great Aaron Pryor at 35 was too high of a rating, but to me, he is a top 100 fighter.
The great Roy Jones, Jr too high for this rating, too. So is Lennox Lewis. Too high at 53.

Holman is a terrible omission. He should be in the top 20 or 30.

The great Jack "Kid" Berg from England was excluded too. What a shame.

Never understood why Basilio constantly gets ranked way ahead of Fullmer. Fullmer won the head to head, was better against common opponents, beat better overall competition, and lost less often.
Johnson at #80 is too low and Conn at #57 is too high.
Hagler seems a bit high at #17. Hearns at #67 is silly. Both should be somewhere in the 20s.
As for Trinidad, the only explanation is that the list was before his embarrassing losses to Hopkins and Wright. No way he should be in the top 100.

He was also a Welterweight, whereas Fullmer was a Middleweight. Pound for pound I'd rank Basilio ahead of Fullmer, although I think highly of the latter as well.
Conn at #57 is too high.
Dogshit. One of the most underrated fighters ever.

Basilio fought at middleweight as well. Actually most of his most important fights were at middleweight. He also lost at welterweight quite a bit. Fullmer was clearly better.
Conn was great, but there were more than 56 fighters that were better. Harold Johnson was better, and he was 23 places behind him.
