If you was a coach or fighter studying Adonis what have you seen or where do you think he is vulnerable.basically what does it take to beat him

Hit him and hurt him in the first round. He's not superman and whilst he was on form last night, and admittedly yes he is explosive, he's not the next superstar of boxing. I'd be surprised if he could get past both Bute and Pascal, let alone Kovolav.

Mate he's just blasted out chad Dawson like knowbody before he's just tore apart tabor is cloud a solid fighter & rightly holds the ring belt ,he is the man at this moment.

He's a fast, stocky southpaw. So you'd need a rangy, technically sound fighter with a great jab and excellent timing who can spoil effectively inside. Hopkins wouldn't be the worst shout but ideally someone busier.

Andre Ward would be perfect actually.

Froch or Ward take him out in my opinion, they have the engines to grind him down over a full 12 rounds though it wouldn't be easy.

Funny, superman is on my telly at the moment just as I opened the thread.

I didn't see the fight last night, but Stevenson's powers under pressure are still questionable for me. I would be ultra confident of Kovalev standing him on his head.

I think Adonis has great speed & has to be fought at long & short range mid range is suicide v this mans hands. His left hand is a great danger & against cloud he was leading off with it & abit happy with it IMO. I don't think Adonis is a great thinking fighter I think he just looks good in what he does & relies on good advice from the corner.
I think a fighter needs to be up on the boards of his feet against Adonis giving him no time to plant his feet a double jab is vital & to circle off away from his left his right hand is low he flicks up the jab but his right hook to the head is non existent he only widely ploughs it in the body & this is we're you counter him then step in close pull him around wrestle thrustrate & weaken him that's what b-hop would do all night until he folds. Ward would stick the blanket on him smothering him & outclassing him.
Bellew seems a little flat footed to me & he's never really drills in the jab like he should. I will be supporting tony & stranger things have happened this Stevenson has the hype flowing over with the excitement surrounding him.9

Two clear ways.....

Either by looking to draw his left hand bomb and countering him......risky tactic cus he is fast on the trigger and obviously has major power. But he does lunge in at times and leave himself exposed.

Or use a high guard and nullifying tactics to get up close and take away the range he likes on his punches, stay on his chest and make him work at a higher pace than he'd like(think how a prime Glenn Johnson would have approached the fight)

Stevenson will look sensational when he's hitting people, but when the boot is on the other foot I don't think he'll handle it all that well. He'll always win 'big' but he'll lose 'big' too.

He knocked Bute out in sparring years ago and got kicked out of the gym.

That's what I think. Ward would do to Stephenson what Calzaghe did to Lacy.

Hopkins for me perfect style, he'll take away his big shots

Left hook, Cloud hardly threw one. When Adonis is in close throwig his right hand is down around his waist. Double jab, break up his rythum.

Stevensons punches looked hurtful to back of the head & sides when they clinched cloud needed to lean on him wrestle more. Easier said then done but cloud got beat in every department & he did try. Lunged quite abit at times but had no success

boxing fans seem to be so taken in by bangers at the mo, it was only five minutes ago that the guy Garcia beat 'looked unbeatable'. Same with GGG. They can all lose.

The stevenson that fought Pryor jnr isnt the same fighter he is now. He was flat footed then and purely reliant on his power basically. He's improved a lot since then.
