Former Mike Tyson trainer Kevin Rooney has been sentenced to nine months imprisonment for disorderly conduct and violating his probation.
Rooney, 47, of Catskill, violated his probation after officers found him "drunk as a skunk," Sheriff Dick Hussey said. Rooney was on probation for a drink-driving conviction in Catskill. Under the terms of his probation, Rooney was ordered to stop drinking alcohol.
Authorities had also charged Rooney with disorderly conduct after he publicly urinated on Main Street in Catskill in February.
Rooney trained Tyson in his peak years as a fighter. He was later dumped as Tyson's trainer and filed a lawsuit claiming Tyson broke a verbal contract to retain him as trainer throughout his pro boxing career. Rooney won a $4.4 million jury award in 1996.
Small wonder he has the money to get pissed.

That' fornicating outrageous, how can you lock someone up for something which isn't actually illegal!!

It's not like he was driving when he was caught, the poor fornicator was just pissed.

Upstate New York has very strict laws. Public shows of intoxication are forbidden.
