The whole hand wrap thing does anyone know? This could be very clever or very stupid from Povetkin.

I hope so. I think it's really funny. If I recall Wlad supervised Chisora having his hands wrapped before he fought Vitali and gave him a hard time, so I'm sure Dereck would jump at the chance of a bit of payback. Could backfire, like that dude who made Tyson re-wrap his hands before (I think) the Spinks fight, where legend says Tyson first took out his frustration by punching holes in walls and then punching holes in Spinks.

Despite the fact he's clearly an idiot I do find Chisora really entertaining. Coming into the ring to Coldplay really made me laugh. Chisora all over.

Everyone is saying it is stupid, but if it affects Wlad and Povetkin wins then it'll be a different story.

I think I've missed something. What is it that Povetkin has meant to have said or done regarding hand wraps?

Povetkin wants Chisora to supervise the wrapping of Wladimir's hands. Wladimir's manager has kicked up a fuss over it.

The Klitschko's have in the past sent whichever brother isn't fighting as the representative to watch to opponent getting their hands wrapped. A lot of people think it's an intimidation technique.

Went Chisora fought Vitali Wlad demanded Chisora have his hands rewrapped, which is probably why Chisora spat water in his face in the ring.

Povetkin's camp have asked for Chisora to supervise Wlad's hand wrapping, clearly trying to turn the tables.

edit: anyone know is Wlad was sent to watch Chisora's wraps as retaliation the slap at the weigh-in, or do the Klitschkos always send the other to supervise?

I'm not saying it's clever, just what I think they're doing. You think something different?

No, sorry. I was probably unclear.

I know it's what they are doing. It just seems like a lot of fannying about, over a pretty small issue.

I think its a wise move by povetkin to ask chisora to do this, the fact that its already upsetting the klitschko camp shows this. Any advantage or bit of mind games can make a difference, especially when your already an under dog. Lets be honest, if Chisora goes in there then the will know hes there as he aint shy. Lol

Wlad should hire Haye to supervise hand wraps for Chisora's next fight.

The beef was cleared the moment del boy bit the canvas at upton park, dogs growl and fight, but the dog that wins then always holds the upper hand.

How does that work in multiple fight series with an even balance of wins and losses and a concluding draw?

There will always be an undercurrent of beef, then.
