Matt Skelton weighed in at 17st 12lbs for his fight with Michael Sprott tomorrow night.
The champion came in at 16st 9lbs (he was 17st for the Williams challenge last time out).
Matt Macklin and Scott Dixon both came in at 11st 4lbs.

Cheers Bennie. OK I think the fact that Sprott has lost weight since his last fight and Skelton has managed to put weight on speaks a lot. I read in one report that Skelton's sparring didnt go well and he had 2 training camps (one in Cornwall and one in Portsmouth) called off. Sprott has been sparring with Roman Greenburg and John McDermott. I expect Sprott to win this one.

Sprott is evens to win over at bluesquare.com, Skelton 8/11. I think Sprott uses his experience and wins this one.

Good fight, but Adam Smith and MCcory are doing the fight, thats ruined it now.

Skelton went the distance against Julius Francis but come on I could have gone the distance at that pace. In this fight Skelton is gonna have to go looking for it and that could expose his fitness. Sprott's body shots will tire Skelton further. I have gone for Sprott on points as if it goes the distance I can only see one winner, however either guy can win it via stoppage, I think if Sprott can rock Williams he can KO Skelton.

Skelton on points for me, I think he may be a bit 'fresher' in mileage terms. Remember Sprott suffered a devastating knockout only 2 fights ago, I know he beat the same man next time out but even so, those kind of KO's can have a long term effect.

Good to see they are both nice and light coming in, nothing worse than two blubbers hugging and holding all the time and using the excuses like "I wanted to come in at 20 stone for extra strength" when in reality they are just too fat and lazy to train hard 8) Should be a good fight.

I'm rooting for Sprott, I don't dislike Skelton, I dislike all the crap that gets talked about him by the Maloney's but that's another thing.
Sprott is undoubtedly a better boxer, but he's vulnerable physically and mentally, and I haven't seen anything of the sort in Skelton (barring his lumbering style but that's not really what I mean). I have a feeling that Sprott might freeze like in the last one with Williams and get caught with something big early
