Mayweather is terrified and i knew he would announce

Yes i knew Floyd Mayweather would quickly announce his next fight before Manny Pacquiao hammered Brandon Rios. Like Floyd has done for the last 6yrs he has made it impossible for a Mayweather v Pacquiao fight to happen. Mayweather v Khan is now mooted for May 2014 which would mean Floyd v Pacquiao could not happen until the earliest 2015

i will forever label Mayweather as the guy who was TERRIFIED of Manny Pacquiao. i also fancy Khan to beat him

Whatever anyone else says, I think it's a great shame that Mayweather and Pacquiao didn't fight when everyone was clamouring for it. That will always be an unknown and a question mark in determining Mayweather's legacy.

Have either of them really slipped that much from 2/3 years ago? I reckon not.

Agreed; the biggest missed opportunity of 2008/2009.
Even if they fought in 2014, it wouldn't be a superfight anymore.

Of course it would of been great if it had happened, but if and it's a massive IF manny can destroy Rios and then Bradley in his next two fights I still believe the Mayweather fight could happen and be 80% as big as it would of been in 2008/09 !
Hopkins beating a declining Roy jones jnr does nothing to harm my rjj one of the best fighters ever argument.

It would still be a superfight because Showtime and HBO could make a a fight between a junkie thief and a frail granny a superfight.

Rios may well win.
Pacquiao would lose against PBF.
Khan may not fight PBF anyway

Pacquiao would lose now anyway. it was the avoidance of Pacman in his peak that really infuriated me. Floyd has been a master at getting people at the right time throughout his career.

well manny has been beaten twice since then although one was a robbery , but the way marquez ko'd manny must of hurt manny's prideand confidense . i don't think pac is the same fighter as 3 years ago ,and floyd looks better than ever

It was more like 4/5 years ago, and yes, Pacman has.

always envied american boxing.
promoters always come together when a fight was big enough.
the floyd-pac mess has totally blown that myth.

I dont care if this was an attempt to get a rise out of people or not. What I would say though is that Id of picked Floyd to beat Manny whether it be in 2008 or the present.
