Selby vs Walsh

Interesting fight this Saturday. Selby is a massive favourite here but I could see Walsh giving him a very hard nights work. Selby looked "mustard" when he first won the British title and administered beat downs in subsequent fights. However, he wasn't to impressive last time out. Also, from what I've seen of Walsh, he is technically sound and quite a tricky customer; switch hitting a fair bit. Anyone taking him for the upset?

At the faceoff after the press conference today Selby looked 2 weights above Walsh. Will be interesting to see if Queensbury representatives are allowed into the ring post fight or whether Matchroom resort to making a press release where they refer to the Queensbury guys as allegedly a couple of TOWIE wannabes and someone who looks like a cross between Dobby the house elf and Gollum.

All 3 brother were with fw but only liam is under contract to him now. Ryan and mike were with a local promoter to norwich can't remember his name but I heard mike had retired recently. Walsh is a nice lad I speak to him via twitter a lot. Fair play to him for asking for this fight when other fighters r waiting for selby to vacate

At just under 5ft 9inches, Selby is a big lad for a featherweight.

I think Walsh is being looked past to easily, he was a pretty handy amateur and although selby deserves to be the favourite I dont believe its an easy fight for him:) Ryan has got a bit of power and alot of heart . hopefully its a good fight.

Pretty sure Lee had about 10 welsh AM titles and finished his am career something like 79 wins out of 85. Not too shabby himself

Is it possible they've fought each other as amateurs?

If this goes to points I think Walsh will win or even a draw.. Selby is World level I expect him to stop Walsh but it will be a hard fight. I'm interested to see how Walsh does he can definately take a shot but he has fought at a lower level which may well be his downfall!

Selby is a monster at Feather and Walsh is small, can see Selby doing a number on him. Watched the Walsh fight with Ronnie, was a good fight, Ronnie could have had him out of there a few times but smothered his work abit. Will be suprised if Walsh get anything from the fight

It's a good comparison because Selby is big and So was Ronnie against Walsh. I was impressed with the shots that Walsh took. Ronnie hits very hard and also made a proper mess of Walsh's nose in the 2nd round. Walsh dug very deep in that fight. He changed his tactics and made a good fight of it. Selby isn't a massive puncher but his body shots are incredible, that's where I can see him stopping Walsh. Sometimes Selby's work rate is low and that's where Walsh can exploit and he is a very good boxer. I expect Selby by stoppage body shots around the 6-8th round. My money is going on a draw.
