What did you want me to do, go on about it every day? I rate Gavin higher, always have done, always will do until he proves different in the ring. And by the way, there is a bus going from York to Kell's next fight. He is very popular in the gyms here and has donated items for auctions, signs posters for the gyms when people pick up tickets etc.

Just ribbing Mickey I dont think anyone can question Frankie's talent but something is'nt right and on the last
outing he is not ready for Kell.

I'm a big kell fan and defend him a lot but it does show how slowly he was brought along last year that Senchenko is his toughest fight to date. Its the eliminators fault.

It really is a repetitive thing this Brook thing.
Look the step up would have happened had it not been for injuries. FACT.
Maybe it is frustrating no less so for the kid himself.
Take a view by comparing his situation to Barker.
Injury problems, worked his way back into contention, won the title then BOOM £1mill gross pay day for going to Sturm's back yard.
The year might have changed but Brook will get there. Just will have to be 2014 instead of 2013.
If he comes up short and stinks the joint out have a pop then no problem.
If he succeeds get yer spoons ready and eat yer pie.

Im not completely buying that injury nonsense. Andre ward has just been out longer with a shoulder injury that required surgery and yet his first fight back is Edwin Rodriguez who's an unbeaten prospect/contender and won that tournament they had out in Monaco. It just proves that it can be done.

I don't think anyone was impressed with the opponent they chose, but the title holders are tied up, him and his team would be foolish to fight a Guerrero type just to appease us.

Columbo,
Even playing field etc.
What's your take on Barker's career for the last five years ?

I'll give you a hand.
2008 3 fights Bendall Sharpe and McKay
2009 2 fights McDermott and Butler
2010 1 fight Belghecham
2011 2 fights Spada and Martinez
2012 1 fight Hope
2013 back on track.
Injuries happen but cream rises to the top eventually.
Brook will get there - but I still say he gets a rough deal from you guys.

That's a little different to be fair mate. Barker has had recurring hip injuries throughout his career. Brook has been a pro for 9 years now and had 31 pro fights but still hasnt fought a top welterweight. That's the contention. It's not that I dont think Brook has talent as I think he does. it's purely the level of competition up to now.

Excuse me sir - that's not what you said.
Quote "Im not buying this injury nonsense"
So you think Brook is a liar ?
So how did you react when Barker first had his injury problems ?
Level playing fields.
