I Live in Castle Donington, 15 mins south of Derby for those who don't know. I've been to a couple of big shows but due to money/location, end up watching most on TV or trying to read up on the web. Anyone know of the best small hall shows/venues in the area as I want to start going to a lot more shows over the next few years...

I been working in castle donnington today. Clifton Mitchell puts a few professional small hall shows on around derby and leicester, whitwick is not far from you, he puts a few shows on there too.
There's loads of unlicenced shows on too. Never too good tho.

Indeed. There's a Clifton Mitchell show taking place at Hermitage Leisure Centre (Whitwick) this coming Sunday (Sunday 13th October) which might be of interest. Some good prospects on the card including Hughie Fury!

That town has potential to stage more shows, a big eastern european comunity surely there must be some fighters within it, and hopefully Big Frazier will turn pro possible before or after Rio, also a thriving am club

Yeah to be fair the unlicenced shows are sometimes put on very well, and are a lot more competitive than the pros. I just think you need to know someone who is fighting to go to one of them.
