Yes, he said money comes and goes, memories last forever... I guess the memories are tainted now. Lost money promoting Ricky, too, before been dropped.thepocketrocket wrote:Didn't Dennis sh!t away a load of cash getting him the home shot for a world title?
Yeah, he does seem to be on the end of the shaft more than his fair sharemickey1975 wrote:Yes, he said money comes and goes, memories last forever... I guess the memories are tainted now. I bet he used to think the scrap metal game was rough and had some chancers about; that lad had things set up well for him and Hobson was making him into a local hero - 'someone' must be doing an awful lot of buttering up behind the scenes.thepocketrocket wrote:Yeah, he does seem to be on the end of the shaft more than his fair sharemickey1975 wrote:Yes, he said money comes and goes, memories last forever... Are you matchroom's PR man?jackukmma wrote:Boxing is a short career and dangers are very real. It's a business and you can't just stick with someone out of pure loyalty. Yes Hobson got him a title shot over here, he's not promoted him though has he. No one knows who he is despite being world champion. Hobson signed a deal with Allegedly channel not McDonnell. Notice there were no comments from Jamie in the press release. They wanted him to defend against Matty Hall. Again hardly going to get him exposure tucked away on Allegedly channel in a defence like that. Tough decisions have to be made in boxing sometimes

"Time to put the hustle behind this muscle!"
Under Hobson, McDonnell won the British, Commonwealth, European and World title, with the world title costing Dennis a fortune. Lets see if he gets hometown advantage for his next world title fight.Superheavy wrote:Great decision - I mean, what's Hobson ever done for McDonnell?
No just the only one that doesn't want to hang McDonnell for doing what's best for his career it seems. Hobson did a shocking job with himcolumbo wrote:Are you matchroom's PR man?jackukmma wrote:Boxing is a short career and dangers are very real. How exactly when he didnt have a tv deal? How many promoters with no significant tv deal that you know of would of got McDonnell the opportunities he has? Particularily a world title fight in front of his home town crowd! There's absolutely none.jackukmma wrote:No just the only one that doesn't want to hang McDonnell for doing what's best for his career it seems.
