Cant argue with this matchup at all

i was dreading the usual sandor balochs (who we've discovered is actually three imports in one )

but this is a decent 2nd opp

A few years back it might, but this will be a quick blowout. All part and parcel.

It's his 2nd fight, although his world silver medalist and olympic gold champion, his still new to the game, I think a total of 3 or 4 fights this year and possibly 8-10 next year, plus he should travel Europe for some tough sparring in-between, should stand him in good stead for bigger longer fights in 2015 and beyond. It's going to be interesting watching Eddie/Barry slowly build him into the worlds top heavyweight ! I think he will be up there when wladimir is still fighting ! Enjoy the ride

All they need to do is the exact opposite of how price was brought on. Retired Latvian binmen don't do anyone any favours. He should follow the furys model fighting experienced pros with winning records and undefeated fellow prospects with similar records.

Price's main problem was inactivity.

An average of only 4.5 fights a year for the first 2 years of his career was very poor, especially against such weak opposition.

Decent match-up to be fair. He'll give Joshua some rounds.

To be fair the likes of McDermott, Skelton, Sexton and Harrison are exactly who you'd expect him to be in with in his 12th-15th fight, especially to win and defend a British title. It's not his fault he blew them all away, there were no better British level opponents.

The problem was they jumped straight from those fights to a top ten guy, and a wiley old pro at that, in Tony Thompson. It would have been better if they fought a few of the mid level durable euro guys first. I think they were trying too hard to match Fury's win over Johnson.

McDermott and those others were fine. His opposition before that was poor though.

He should have been fighting Sprott next, not Thompson. That was a barmy step up in opposition level.

And some of the inactivity was caused by injury as he did have various hand and back problems I seem to recall him experiencing while he was working his way up,

I agree with that. They went from the likes of Mcdermott, sexton and co to Thompson who whilst not the best heavyweight in the world, he's still a considerable step up from those guys. Chisora back then would of been a good test actually. I still think Thompson is a better fighter than Chisora to be honest.

I think Chisora is better than Thompson. Which is one of the main reasons I think Price should go nowhere near him any time soon.

very good matching. probably already better than 80% of deontay wilders opponents (in fact he did not fight a guy at butlins level till about his 13th fight i.e. sconiers).
