Does Degale need to leave Hennessy?

As much as I give fast car stick I think James when the opportunity arise would be smart moving over as at the moment his career seems to be stagnating quite badly and I want to see him in good fights and see how he does.

Can't see Matchroom going for him. They offered him a deal last year and DeGale turned them down for Hennessy!

Getting a European Title fight straight after the Groves defeat was a masterstroke IMO.

I'd rather see him with a different trainer or at least bring some else in alongside Jim Mc. Don't get me wrong I have a lot of respect for Jim McDonnell but I'm not sure he's the person to get Degale to fulfill his potential.

Tell you what would be funny is if Degale left Jim and went with Booth now that Groves has gone haha.

I'd love to see him with the Mayweathers.

It's just lack of shows. That's why fast car is the best, but if Hennessey had same amount of shows it would be different look at how he has matched Tyson Fury.

It's a tough one, isn't it?

Channel Five bringing boxing to terrestrial telly is a good thing, but they seem to have given up on a bit this year. There's been what? Two shows in 2013. That's not enough.

As I don't have Sky Sports or allegedly, so have to watch those fights elsewhere or on stream, I'm reluctant to have them taken off Channel 5. But there just isn't enough coverage at the moment.

X2
They could prolong his career give him the mindset to use his craftiness. Degale really is a talented boxer but loves a tear up

Degale with Booth would be a good shout. It won't happen but I think Booth could do well with Degale.

I vaguely recal two recent romours, one that he'd split from McDonnell, and two, that he was joining Top Rank.

I take it both were bollocks then?

If Hennessey is going to hold onto him he better get his finger out and deliver better oponents.

Don't really see that. Booth's game is built around speed, athleticism and reflexes. Degale is a very different type of fighter from Haye or Groves. He doesn't hit as hard, but unusually for a British fighter he's good on the inside.

Yeah but Degale is certainly a fighter with speed, athleticism and reflexes.

Yeah but Degale is certainly a fighter with speed, athleticism and reflexes.
He is, but he doesn't need to rely on that part of his game. I'm not saying he's a better fighter than Haye or Groves but I do think he has a more complete skillset. He needs someone to help him use that to his best advantage and although I think Booth is a good trainer I don't see him as the right man for this particular job.

I dont know. To be fair to Booth, we've only really seen him with Haye and Groves so we dont know what he can do.
