Your caption does not capture the photo very well. Let's try again.
Rudi, is bending over in a moment of prayer, appealing to the gods to get him out of this fight in one piece.

Rudi Lubbers wouldn't have survived the early onslaught against George so it doesn't matter what he thinks he would've done late.

For what it's worth that Eurotrash lost twelve of twelve rounds to Ali on two cards and eleven of twelve rounds on the third.

No Respect,
That 'over-blown' Dutch Light-Heavyweight took your so-called G.O.A.T. 12-Rounds, and Muhammad was
'admittedly' in the best shape of his life at 217 lbs.
Lets Go Dutch
That
Eurotrash lost every round. What part of that don't you understand?
The European, i.e,
Eurotrash that could beat the GOAT never lived.
I think the last "European" who gave the GOAT a go was Tunney Hunsacker.

Il Duce wrote:Hey Dutch Boy
In the previous '19-Months', Rudi Lubbers had exactly '1-Fight'.
In the meantime, during that same exact time-span, Mr. Ali had '9-Fights'.
As Rudi Lubbers said, Muhammad agreed to fight me in June 1973, then had me sit
around for 4-Months waiting.........
He wanted to fight me as a tune-up', before getting back into the ring with the 'Jaw-Breaker'.
That
Eurotrash should have been fresh. How does a boxer in his prime lose every round on two cards and eleven rounds on another card. If he had any pride he would have retired right then and become a bus driver.

There's no need to stoop down to the other guy's level. As you're probably aware of, the quotes attributed here to Lubbers are entirely fictional. In reality he had nothing but praise for Ali after both his fight with him and Ali's win over Foreman.

I seriously don't understand what happened to Duce. He used to be good posters in boxing 24 forum.
Yeah, he also used to try to discredit Ali back then, but he never went down to the level when he writes
a fiction of interviews that never happened, or twists what boxers said on purpose.
I also don't understand why he posts and trolls in forum with so few posters yet almost all are very
educated in history of boxing as much as him. Trolls in this forum always fail.
Now, he has no credibility left, I really hope he changes his attitude fast, because I believe he has so
much to offer in other topics than just trying to discredit Ali with fake history every day.

Now you're quoting a 'drug addict' Meth-Head.
And calling Rudi Lubbers a 'Bus Driver', and 'Euro-Trash'.
'Vigoroso',,,,,,,,,,
'A Bus-Driver who goes 12-Rounds with Muhammad Ali. Get me Ralph Kramden.'
"Hey Clay, I got your Bus Ticket right here."

Come clean, you dislike Carlos Irwin Estevez because he's part Latino.

Boxing history is littered with the contenders who could "go in and survive"
Lubbers is a credit to those hard workers.
The next "nut to crack" is how to parlay that into wins at the very top level.
Winky Wright could often snatch a win out of that strategy...or often a draw.
Lubbers was too small for Foreman...even if he could protect his "vital bits"
the air itself from Foremans blows stood a chance of knocking the man down.
Foreman could hit you on the arms....and seriously affect your game.
Ali was nothing if not durable...Norton describes his experience "hitting Ali was like hitting Iron".
(If you doubt this quote...I think it is findable) Just another dynamic that sets him apart from many of his peers.
Lubbers was dreaming....but that's the right dream to have in the boxing game.

!) Lubbers never said that.
2) This thread is littered with non sequiturs
3) As to what you emboldened:
Frank: Who was stronger, Muhammad Ali or Larry Holmes?
Norton: Oh Ali definetly, Ali was very strong but because he wasn't a one punch KO artist it is overlooked. Hitting Ali in the body or on the arms was like hitting a piece of cement.

Cement? Ok....I said Iron.....that's the ol grey matter fallin' a bit short.
However, I knew I was close, and was not compromising the spirit of the statement lol.

I was thinking the same thing. Lubbers I'm sure was a gutsy and reasonably skilled guy in his own right, and I'm sure he deserves better than being called "EuroTrash"
He probably wouldn't be too fond of this thread. From just about anybody's input.

I shouldn't have wrote that. It's not Rudi's fault that Il Manichino put words in his mouth and my darker angels got the better of me. This whole thread is preposterous.

I don't think poorly of Lubbers, and was not persuaded to begin any assumptions based on our #1 fiction contributor.
Some of the concepts he introduced in his insidious way caught my attention, and I thought a counterpoint might be relevant. I have come to believe that it's never the specifics that Il Duce is concerned with, it's the "theme" or "spirit" of his statement that I believe he is trying to sell. Though I don't think he has any buyers.
Isn't there a genre of writing that is based on "alternate historic timelines"?
I've always contended that this is Il Duce's forte.

At least your senses came back to you. I've let ridiculous posters get me riled up and said things I normally wouldn't as well. It's definitely something I like to try to keep in check.

How did Il Manichino infer that because Rudi lost all twelve rounds to Muhammad Ali he could beat George Foreman?

Good question...and I think the answer is honestly that PERHAPS he didn't.
His decision to "inform" us of his quotes, and his interpretation of the photo would seem that he is at least entertained by the thought, and though he does not say whether he agrees with Lubbers supposed statement, the possibility that he has used poetic license in a different way than I did when I used the work "Iron" catches my imagination on this subject.
When he strays from fact, he seems to have an agenda.
Although I strayed with my "Iron" statement, it was meant to paraphrase, or capture the reality.
Does this make sense to you? lol
Ooops....I wrote this based on "imply" not "infer" my bad~!

Now I will answer the question you posed.
In my best estimation...
He "inferred" due to some sort of odd processing of linear logic, and intuitive puzzle solving that I am not familiar with.
