This is what is refreshing about chisora though. If you are a prospect, and if you are considered to be a threat, then chisora wants to fight you. Chisora will win some of these type of fights, he will lose some. But because of his attitude, he will be a contender for a while yet. Fair play to him.columbo wrote:Could be a good fight. Not really sure why Chisora's camp will be looking at Wach though after the good run Chisora is on. It seems a fairly high risk/low reward fight to me.
Im not sure Wach really is a prospect now though. Wladimir absolutely dominated him and the cards were like 120-108 or something on most scorecards.smoothmoves wrote:This is what is refreshing about chisora though. Agreed.columbo wrote:Could be a good fight. Not really sure why Chisora's camp will be looking at Wach though after the good run Chisora is on. 2It seems a fairly high risk/low reward fight to me.
I daresay that Chisora will lose more fights against top contenders compared to those he would win.smoothmoves wrote:This is what is refreshing about chisora though. He won't be a top contender for very long if he goes on another losing streak.smoothmoves wrote:But because of his attitude, he will be a contender for a while yet. Fair play to him.
When you talk about his fighting style I agree... Though I don't like this "bad boy" attitude that he is presenting himself as.smoothmoves wrote:^ you're probably right. My point is that Chisora is a breath of fresh air compared to the safety first attitude most fighters adopt these days. Yes he has limited ability, but he is making the best of what he has, and making some serious corn at the same time. Good luck.
The problem is though mate that Wlad absolutely dominated Wach. I think Chisora would be better served fighting someone like Boystov who is still unbeaten and whilst has fought a lot of piss poor opposition hasnt been thoroughly beaten by a Klitschko.lillywhite14 wrote:Chisora is at a stage where another defeat don't mean much. I think he beats Wach though and it will do his career good too seeing as he was a recently Wlad challenger and carries a decent ranking.
I agree. Wach is a very tough guy, but that's reflected mainly in his ability to take punishment, not his ability to punish his opponents. I see Chisora as a superior fighter overall, and I think Chisora-Wach would resemble Chisora-Helenius.lillywhite14 wrote:I think he beats Wach though and it will do his career good too seeing as he was a recently Wlad challenger and carries a decent ranking.
boytsov is no1 contender for wladimir so will wait his turn.columbo wrote:The problem is though mate that Wlad absolutely dominated Wach. He'll beat more top contenders than he'll lose to.Crease wrote:I daresay that Chisora will lose more fights against top contenders compared to those he would win.
Who does? When the Klitschkos have gone I don't see why Chisora can't win one of the 4 belts.Crease wrote:I do not think that he has the pedigree to become a World Heavyweight Champion.

He's European champion!! What do you want too see him face Danny Williams again!!columbo wrote:Could be a good fight. Not really sure why Chisora's camp will be looking at Wach though after the good run Chisora is on. It seems a fairly high risk/low reward fight to me.
Right now it seems like most heavyweights (Charr, Fury, Haye, Stiverne etc.) are going the WBC route, in the belief that Vitali will retire, leaving the belt vacant for them to fight for it. It might be a better option for Chisora to look at the WBO, Warren has close links with them and Wladimir is running out of challengers and is heading towards retirement in the next couple of years, I can't realistically see him being beaten, so whoever positions themselves first in line after he retires will have a shot at a vacant title. The key is to keep Chisora busy in winnable fights until Wlad retires, then swoop in for the WBO title.Horse wrote:He'll beat more top contenders than he'll lose to.Crease wrote:I daresay that Chisora will lose more fights against top contenders compared to those he would win.

This is probably an unpopular thing to say but I'd like to see that happen.Horse wrote: When the Klitschkos have gone I don't see why Chisora can't win one of the 4 belts.
Like most decent fights that are mooted. Boxing is such a frustrating sport. Most fights just seem to fall through because of whatever. Why is it off?Final round wrote:it's off..
