Gavesend, Saturday

In what can only be described of the "night of the comebacks", the bill in Gavesend on May the 1st is shaping up nicely. The majority of the fighters on the bill are either making comebacks or going through the rehabilitation process.

Headlining the bill is the comebacking Alan Temple, he's up against it on his return by facing the dangerous Nigerian Silence Saheed. A win for Temple and he would be in contention for a top ten ranking.

Also on the bill is Julius Francis, a fighter who is going through a terrible run of defeats - he's fighting the always dangerous TBA. Elvis Michaelienko is also continuing his rehabilitation from his upset defeat by Peter Oboh against TBA.

An interesting name on the undercard is Gareth Lawrence - I not sure I'm correct but I assume this is the same Gareth Lawrence as the undefeated Welsh featherweight prospect of the mid 90's. He looked very impressive back then, can he make an impact at 29. His opponent is again TBA.

Anybody going to this bill, sounds an okay one.

Are you sure this is the same Gareth Lawrence of Gilfach Goch?

Dean, no I am not sure - its either a fighter making his pro debut or its him - checked the boxrec database and there is only one Gareth Lawrence, thats the Gilfach Goch fighter.
