Even the best of the best are deserving of good management and careful attention to the maturing of their careers.

For example....If Marvin had been fed to a Prime Monzon and took the beating that would have been inevitable at that time...would he continue on to be become as good as he became? Same for Monzon before he was ready for the best of the best.

But at some point....this particular MW would have far less to be concerned about than almost any other MW of any time period, when it comes to someone attempting to produce a viable "ringer".

No disrespect meant, but Russell Peltz started his boxing promotional career on Sept. 30, 1969 at the Blue Horizon.

There is no disrespect with anyone taking issue with any particular aspect of a work of fiction.

Unless of course you feel it was somehow lacking in imagination.

Yes, I'll start with 'recanting' - that Dr. Box Buzz is a quality Physician.

Why don't you add something 'constructive' about the early Carlos Monzon, instead of sitting
on a Tree-Top like a Hawk, waiting to 'dive bomb'.
That wasn't a very laudatory thing to say about such a perspicacious fella and a denizen of this board.

What? I am on the record, and very straightforward with you about my assessment of your fictional abilities.

Is there something stealth about my comment?

And yeah....I like ribbin' ya a bit. Why? Cuz ya take yerself so gosh darn serious.

And yet for my money you can be every even more entertaining than you are informing.

That does not mean that you have never engaged in non-fiction activity.

It's the fact that you dabble in both that makes you sort of a human "where's waldo" type of writer.

I'm always searchin for Waldo (the truth) in your contributions. And every now and then he appears!

I don't compete with you, I appreciate and offer critical feedback.

Think of me as sort of the Siskel and Ebert (may god rest their souls) of the entertainment that arrives on our doorstep here.

Nothing personal.

Have you done time?

Il Duce doesn't like Carlos Monzon.

Duly noted, I'll add him to the list.

You, apparently.

I'm sure it is. You are quite a prodigious producer of boxing fiction, I don't think anyone would put that past you.
