Hearns-Tito: Bombs Away

How 'bout another go around matching Hitman Hearns and Tito Trinidad?
Two of the most explosive punchers in welterweight history.
Who takes this bombs away matchup?
The lanky, quicker Hearns does a fairly decent job of outboxing Trinidad until he hurts the Puerto Rican with a right hand in the 7th round.
Hearns, in an attempt to finish off the shaken Tito, follows him to the ropes where he launches a series of wild, wide punches. Most miss and suddenly Hearns is nailed with a beautiful left hook.
Down goes the Hitman in a heap but somehow struggles to his feet. H
is eyes are glazed and he's wobbling on spindly legs. The referee looks closely at Tommy and motions that the fight is over.
Hearns protests feebly but Tito Trinidad is the come from behind winner by one-punch knockout.
In the battle of massive punchers, Felix Trinidad stands supreme.

I don't know why you would question whether I'm serious.
You talk as if Trinidad was some stumbling clubfighter instead of a long-reigning champion with incredible power.
And in case you missed it, the great Hearns was not invincible. KO losses to Leonard, Hagler and Barkely attest to that. Also another loss to Barkley.
You have your opinion but it's hardly inconceivable that a skilled powerhouse like Tito could take out the Hitman, who didn't have the strongest pair of pins in the world.

Tito was a slow starter and his feet were nowhere near the caliber of Hearns. While Tommy's beard wasn't elite, it gets overstated how vulnerable he was. He never took a 10 count, wouldn't happen here either.

If he Trinidad like he hit Hagler would be over in one round.

It really borders on who could hit who first.
Hearns was faster, a better boxer, and had better defense. Tito was hittable and prone to getting caught early on like with Vargas. My money says Hearns would starch Tito fast. Even Leonard wasn't dumb enough to trade with Hearns unless he had to and Tito doesn't have the chin Hagler did to go through the fire.

I'll grant you that, but as you say Hearns was faster, the better boxer and the better defense. He was just all around more talented than Tito. I think he'd be the one coming out on top pretty much everytime these two fought.

This fight is a total mismatch
I cannot see Tommy losing this fight. He is light years ahead of Tito.

The only way to beat the great Thomas Hearns is to pressure him. Tito cannot outbox him and that is out of the question. Tito would have Hearns jab in his face all night if Hearns wins by UD. Tommy's jab would stop Tito on his tracks and he will be very afraid to come in. Tito is not agressive enough when he is being outbox (Delahoya and Winky fights as an example). But I cannot envision Tito even hurting Tommy UNLESS is a lucky punch, and even if Tommy is in bad shape, he had the resources to survive the fight, something I do not envision Tito if in trouble. And if the fight is at 154, it would be MASSACRE. Tito is not that great.
I could see myself puttingy hands in front of my eyes in this mismatch.
