From what I have read trainers are usually the first to realize a fighter is slipping. That makes sense. It's not some huge revelation. I never associated Freddie Roach's Parkinsons Disease with his boxing career but when I learned that Eddie Futch urged him to quit and he didn't but continued to fight with his father for a trainer, losing five of his last six fights ,I think a legitimate association can be made...

Really? I have heard him say it is trauma/boxing related on one of the 24/7 shows. I would think though that the trainer knows first when his guy is slipping with the amount of time they spend/train together.

Yeah that was pretty awkward to listen to and after hearing what he said I was a bit surprised Manny backed off in the last round or 2.

Because Manny isn't vindictive. No need to beat a man more than what is needed to secure a victory.
