Hearns would try to keep his distance and fire lazer jabs and crosses at Robinson, having some success during quite a few moments, but Robinson's chin, power, speed, timing and just flat out Boxing know how would lead him to a KO victory over Thomas Hearns in the 7th round.

Again, prime Robinson is a welterweight. I think Hearns would certainly have him down at some stage, but Robinson's chin was so good I don't see him being knocked out unless Hearns lands with a hail mary punch like the one that knocked out Duran. Robinson could stop him in the mid to late rounds, but if he doesn't, Hearns takes the decision.

If we're putting middleweight vs middleweight, Robinson wins by stoppage every time, but it would be close on the scorecards.

Tommy's prime was at Welterweight as well. I think the fight would've gone basically the same at either weight. Though Tommy would fare slightly better at 147 I think.

The OP says that it's a middleweight Hearns, so I'm not sure if we're looking at a 147lb Robinson vs a 160lb Hearns or if they're both fighting at 160lb. I'd say Hearns' best weight was 154lb, but I agree that Robinson stops him whatever weight they fought at, but if Hearns gets to have a 13lb weight advantage it swings back in his favour.

The great Sugar Ray Robinson would pressure the great Thomas Hearns in an exciting fight. NOBODY could outbox The Motor City Cobra. Robinson wins in any weight class they fight.

While I disagree that Robinsion couldn't outbox Hearns, Hearns skills rate up there with the best of them and is often underrated because of his power. Interesting enough (backing your view) I've NEVER seen prime Hearns outboxed.
