Top of the bill sees Esham Pickering make the first defence of his European super-bantamweight title against Spaniard Juan Garcia Martin, and Peter Oboh defends his British and Commonwealth titles against Hackney's Andrew Lowe in the chief support.
Further down the bill, Chesterfield's Mark Krence faces Southampton-based Dubliner Colin Kenna in a good eight-rounder. This is a damn good card.

Good card - Oboh vs Lowe should be a cracker, Pickering has got an undefeated fighter. I don't care who David Haye has got the bill is worth it for those two fights.

Good card, let's hope it doesn't fall apart with withdrawals and injuries etc like they so often do. Lowe-Oboh catches my eye, Oboh is a good fighters with a good punch while Lowe is smooth and has often impreesed me, particuarly when he beat Neil Linford. Looking forward to the night.

Following an investigation into a glove tampering incident before the Rothmann fight, The British Boxing Board of Control have banned Thompson for 6 months and fined him £2,000 in addition to ordering him to pay £750 costs

That's harsh. Maurice Core is the one they should ban.

Good interview by Lightsoot on ESB with Carl. He says it was down to someone else but he wouldn't say who. The gloves were changed before the fight anyway, so the ban seems harsh

I thought it was harsh also, especially as the gloves Thomspon fought with were all above board. Not only can he not afford to be out for so long, but the validity his greatest ever win will be questioned by some who don't know the facts.

6 months at this stage of his career could certainly spell the end, he won't fight until what at least October now I would guess

No one will be dissapointed with this opponent i can tell you! Haye deserves alot of credit. He has struggled to sexure fights on the domestic scene so has had to look ESLEWHERE!

I hope Williard Lewis isn't the opponent for Haye, a blown-up supermiddleweight on a losing streak.
All the other fights on this card sound great
