Lee Haskins says that he respects Jason Booth but that "Too Smooth" has nowhere to go if he loses their British Bantamweight title fight in Bristol on Friday night.

I can see Booth getting pulled by his corner at some stage im afraid

Jason was one of my favs a few year back,always plenty of action and had a great engine

Lee on the other hand is one of the most underrated fighters in this country i think,i wish he was more active on the telly

Haskins should stop him booth slick n very good in his day but those days are gone sadly. Would love to see him go to the well once more but can't see it am afraid.

How can you justify Booth getting this title shot he's only won a 6 rounder in his last half dozen fights.

Haskins will win by stoppage.

There aren't many bantamweights about so Haskins is limited in his options.

I agree - its a bit of a round robin at these lower weights

I expect Haskins to win within the first half of the fight

Booth's had a remarkable career given his troubles.

Lee Haskins, despite being decent has had a far less remarkable career and it's a shame really cos he can fight.

Although I hate to raise this, but his fight with Don Broadhurst is actually my "worst ever fight" from literally years of watching / attending boxing.

Not through the fault of Lee or Don , but they say "styles make fights" but good grief they can also break fights too.

Haskins inside 8 rounds for me, unless Booth can wind back the years.

It was a bad bout to watch but Broadhurst didn't ought to have retired through it, he was a skilled and talented lad and Haskins was sidelined for ages, lots of boxers are in crap fights from time to time. Haskins must have too much for Jason at this stage and it's remarkable that Booth still has the stomach for it all, (how's Nicky Booth doing? has he pulled back from the brink?)

Yeah wasnt Broadhurst unbeaten Commonwealth champ at the time :?? it was your classic "styles make fights" scenario and their styles just didnt gel as G0mez said

Im sure the last time i seen Nicky Booth was on telly at one of Jason,s fights,maybe the world title fight against Steve Molitor? but he still looked like he enjoyed a good night out

Broardhurst didn't retire. He fought in a pf and lost a masters title after his loss to haskins. Haskins stopped him in the final of pf I think. Don had a rough time family wise (mom was very ill and passed away) and he moved down under. But his back and signed with jon pegg I believe his fighting 23rd nov.

Thanks for putting me right, he just seemed to disappear and I thought he'd packed up. Hope he does well in Oz, he was a good fighter.

It's amazing that people still talk about that fight esp in terms of it being the worst they've ever watched.

Lucky if there was a dozen clean punches landed. Awful.

Hope for a better spectacle tonight.

Fairly lively first 2 rounds. Haskins neater boxing for me gives him the early nod.

Booth had a good 6th round where he appeared to hurt Haskins with a few decent combinations. Haskins looked ragged until halfway through the 7th where he seemed to get his second wind and has been boxing well at a distance since. Booth just had a good 10th. Haskins probably 2 or 3 up.

Good last round from Haskins, staggered Booth with some good shots.

Missed first judges score but 117-112 and 118-111 were the other two. Haskins won UD

Bullshit scores. Was much closer than that.
