Can Brian Rose beat Demetrius Andrade ?

I'm not subscribed to allegedly but wanted to watch Andrade v Martirosyan for the vacant WBO belt with Brian winning that final eliminator the other week. Can't find a full fight video online either :-(.

For those who have seen it does Brian have any chance ?

Going off what I've read its seems Andrade wasn't all that impressive and very beatable. He won Gold in 2007 World Championships and in the quarter finals of the Beijing olympics so his amatuer background is top class.

He's long and awkward, flails a bit but would be a fair bit taller and bigger than Brian, can't see him coming to Blackpool so Rose wouldn't get a decision in the States. He looks like a very good amateur who has got fit for 12 rounds. I thought it was closer than the cards but he doesn't get hit flush often at all.

I don't think Rose has the power to give Andrade anything to worry about, nor does he have the boxing skills to outwork Andrade over 12.

According to the commentary last night, Andrade is 6'2 (although 6'1 on here) and he looks big and in great shape for 11 stone, in saying that Rose is also a tall LM. He's still fairly inexperienced, has a fair few amateur traits and I don't think he'll hold the title for long but I don't see Rose taking the shots Martirosyan took. Andrade reminds me of a raw Trout (no fish joke intended) and that could well be a match made in the future, Trout V Andrade, where you'd probably see Andrade lose his title.

I doubt that Rose would beat Martirosyan either, even with everything possible in his favour, home advantage etc.

Andrade TKO 10 over Rose but I'd think he'd put up a valiant effort.

I didn't think he looked as tall as 6'2 but he is a solid built light middle.

He done ok last night both guys needed a step up and they performed well.

Before last nights fight I wouldnt of given Rose any real chance but after what I saw last night I think Rose actually has a very good chance. He's a very good boxer himself Rose, even if he does lack power. Andrade didnt particularily impress me last night.

Andrade is the best of a bad bunch of amateurs who turned over.

I would say he has no chance but every time I think the Rose proves me wrong hope he does again

My mate sighed when Rose was warming up on Sky the other week and said "12 rounds, guarantee it" in a negative tone.

Then after said "Fair play, massive bollox that lad. I'm pleased for him" and maybe had a little bit of admiration and interest in him afterwards too.

I think Andrade would win clearly.

I don't see Rose as being at that level (and his last three fights have strengthened that view), and I think he'd probably lose to Vanes too.

The fact that he's having to prove you wrong against the type of opponents he's faced says a lot to me.
