I heard that he was a natural righty, but, converted to southpaw. Still to me, one of the greatest southpaws and 100 greatest fighters pound per pound of all time

Was it Jose Luis Ramirez? he beat Rosario (and lost to him) and gave Chavez Snr a very good fight.

He did

I've only seen him v Rosario (when he won) and v Chavez, he ended up with 82 knockouts, I think he turned pro at 14 years old - an excellent and overlooked boxer.

I saw him against Mancini,Arguello,Chavez,Whitaker(2 times),Rosario(2 times) and Boza Edwards.
