Eubank has left Hennessy Sporting according to his facebook page, wonder if matchroom will pick him up

I've been offered a last minute fight & I've decided to take it even though it's extremely short notice & I will not be fully prepared. I'm going to fight not because I have to & not because I want to but because I've only fought twice this year (due to problems with my now former promoter) & the fans deserve better than that. Who is his former Promoter ?

I thought that he was - and still is - promoted by Mick Hennessey ?

He wants to stick with Hennessy if he has any sense.

Yeah, he must be really easy going that Mick Hennessey.

The 'my former promoter' seems weird. Tomorrows post fight interview could be interesting. I'll probably end up watching.

For me its really dissapointing Eubank pulled out of purse bids for a fight with Nick Blackwell in a Final Eliminator for the British Title. That would have been the perfect fight for him to secure a shot at BJS and see how he does against one of his former opponents.

Had he fought somone better then fair enough but no reason seems to have been given for that pull out ??

I think the Blackwell fight would have been great to watch. I'd be suprised if that was hard to make. Nicks shown he would fight anyone anywhere and he's not signed to Hearn or Warren.

I hope that he changes to matchroom purely for activity, which is what they give fighters.

i think he needs to start fighting for titles, maybe danny butler for the english title, or a international title,
suprised he pulled out of a final eliminater when hes calling out the likes of degale,

What if Matchroom dont want him? I'm not convinced they would.

After watching Eubank last night I'm beginning to think he's not making much headway. Im starting to think he would rather showboat like his father did rather than concentrate on his boxing skills to end a fight. I only saw 2 rounds last night as it was on Channel 5 and was recorded, but the finish was good but how long can you rely on 1 punch. According to Twitter there has been lots of talk from others about fights Eubank would not take. Is it that team Eubank have found his limitations? Or is it he is a late developer who will become a good fighter in another 10 fights?

Still fighting at novice level I think its time he took a fight to test his limitations and see if he is really good at title level be that at domestic level. I really liked watching Chris fight but each fight is following a pattern that his dad started 20 odd years ago but he is not as good as his dad and 1 punch is not going to save his each fight. Sooner or later if he does step up in class someone will find him out. Its all well and good showing off knocking over novice fighters and admiring your work at their expense but if you are not improving your work after each fight then someone will catch you out in the end. I don't buy that 'i was not prepared for the fight' crap because he took the fight himself and always twitting about his work rate in the gym and what hes doing so he's obviously training and sparring. He has a great physique so hes not lazy and always working out.

I'm not sure about him anymore. While I like to watch him fight he has to step up at some point to at least give himself a test rather than being the school bully and kicking in the infants.

I know Blackwell has sparred him on a few occasions so I would assume team Eubank didnt fancy his chances for the british title eliminator otherwise they would have taken that ....?

Once again though I dont think Henessey keeps his lads busy enough and when they are out its often marking time fights so no real progress made or chance to rate them really.

Eubank Jr. will never progress at all until he stops acting like he's some big superstar. Like you say, he seems to be more interested in showing off than he does fighting.

It's always going to be hard when you have the same name as one of the most famous and successful boxers in British history, and I don't think Channel 5 help. Every post-fight interview I've see with Eubank Jr, the pundits spunk themselves at the sight of Eubank Sr. and all but ignore Jr. You can see why you'd feel the need to showboat. Last night, when he had his opponent on the canvas, instead of paying attention on the fight, he's more interested in getting his mug in front of the cameras.

I'm not sure he's going to succeed much any way, but if he does, he has to cut out stupid shit like that. And concentrate on the sport.

It didn't do his dad too much harm and very few were entirely sold on him until after he beat Benn.

I've recently left my promotions company Hennyssy Sports (who are partnered with channel 5) & that's probably why they cut my fight short & gave me such short notice for it (boxing politics). I'm now contracted to Chris Eubank Promotions & will now fight wherever I choose, not just on channel 5. Now I'll be much more active & looking to make some big moves in 2014 #TeamEubank

Talking of relying on just the 1 punch. I remember watching some awfuul fights that his Dad was in where he was doing exactly that. The difference being Daddy whacked effing hard whereas Junior ain't breaking an egg at a level above his current foes.

He's got all of you lot talking about a bloke who's still fighting at novice level. Maybe it's working?
