What fighter do you "Ill DooChay" most often?

You know, the fighter you THINK you know enough about to go after him with authority, and vigor....
Countering the applause of others with sober redirection.

For me.....and it's no secret....It's the honorable Aaron Pryor. I did track his career closely in his early going, I think and believe I know enough about him to say he is "not what YOU think he is" and I have gone after him a time or two and have been ganked by those who feel I'm just not cognizant and/or properly processing all the relevant and available data.

So which fighter do you pull the ol' "ll DooChay" on?

Buzz, the difference with your comments on Pryor and the nutter's comments on "Clay" is that you don't pepper yours with bullsh1t 'quotes'.

In fact, no other poster I can recall, including the legend that was granberry, resort to posting outright lies masquerading as direct quotes.

I suspect that is why he is considered a total twat.

Yes yes yes. I knew that, you knew that....but it WAS a bit of a secret from the Ilder himself.

But nooooo not anymore.

Thanks a bunch, GianCo.

Granner was more out there since he really believed his own bullshit...

I think it's the difference between a civil attitude, and a bit of a sense of humor, vs total wingnut.

I don't think there's any fighters out there that I have the level of hatred for that DooChay has for Ali, but I certainly am reluctant to give almost any credit whatsoever to Andre Dirrell or Ishe Smith...who both disgraced themselves and the sport with some of their actions. Even when I think they are going to win a fight unless I'm forced to make a prediction on it, I won't as I don't like to give those guys any credit at all.

i don't know enough about boxing to stand a real
debate on anyone. i felt though in certain fights i
had a diverging opinion to some. i for one totally
disliked the act of leonard in duran II. do not know
how you can still be the media darling and even get
away with not giving a rematch after this. all in all
i like him a lot, especially his performances against
hearns (I) and hagler were boxing master pieces, but
he made duran's life miserable for years. yes, "no mas"
was a mistake of duran (whether he actually uttered
these words or not), but he was already a legend and
definitely deserved to right his wrong in a third fight.
shame on leonard for tricking him into giving up. even
more shame for not making what could have been one
of the biggest fights in boxing history: the deciding finish
with hands of stone.

since i'm at it. i felt benitez was a total disappointment
against leonard. after that stare down you would not
expect a fighter to intentionally punch only for scoring
instead of hurting all night.

and i totally think that george foreman was cheated in
zaire. he was up at nine (or ten, don't remember), the
round was over and he was the champ. ali in the same
situation would have been given the chance to continue.
i find this the most un-talked about scandal in heavy
weight history. to me it is a bigger scandal than the long
count, or the tyson-douglas thing. having said that, unlike
what "when we were kings" showed, it was a bout that
ali was winning already pretty easily and would have won
by KO in round 9, even if george had been treated fairly.

Terry Norris. I genuinely feel he was very overrated, but then again he's also the only fighter I really dislike, so my objectivity could be called into question.

But otherwise I'll say Ricardo Lopez. Excellent fighter, but I know his career arc, opposition, style, etc. well enough to know that his reputation gets inflamed.

Ricardo Lopez, I loved watching him fight but when I read people talk about him as the greatest Mexican it turns my stomach. And a lot of it is just fans trying to puff out their chest that they watch little guys. No way in hell that guy is a top 10 Mexican fighter.

And they always pull the "just because his opponents didn't get recognition doesn't mean they weren't great" card, as if anyone who questions them is an ignorant Klitschko fan. No, they weren't great because they weren't great. Hardly any of them were even good, truth be told.

Now Il....even you recognize your own curmudgeon ways. Don't get all Pollyanna on us.
You haven't created an good fractured fairy tales boxing thread for hours. What's up? No inspirational winds blowing in your neck of the woods?

You have better places to spend your time than chiming in on my thread that I have created in your honor.

And as I think about it...... if you do happen to drop back in....what's your take on Terry Norris, Ricardo Lopez, Aaron Pryor, Andre Direll, Ishe Smith? and/or anyone else named on this thread.

That would be substantive.

Oh...and where do you stand on offering a fighter some of your own orange juice either immediately before or after a fight?

I could tell you about fighters that I really DISLIKE but I would not waste my time writing or talking about them. An example is Oscar De La Hoya. I never liked him after that fight with Felix "Tito" Trinidad in which he spent the last 3 rounds running like a CHICKEN without throwing a single punch. And when he fought the great Bernard Hopkins when he won his name, an academy award for FAKING the funk.

Another boxer that I never liked was Terry Norris. He feasted with washed up legends and overweight welters that were smaller than he.

Another one would be the great Wilfred Benitez. It was something about him that I did not like. Maybe because he was some kind of cocky. But he could fight, no doubt.

And lastly, the great Mike Tyson after he lost to Buster Douglas. He whined with Don King like a real bitch. I did not like him after that. I wanted to see him lose every time after that. Especially when he said that he was better than Ali or Louis. Maybe he did not say it like that, but maybe it were his fans that I hated the most

Gotta be the 1990 era Mike Tyson. Not bashing his general rep from his early title defenses, but amused at anyone's argument that he and Don King weren't scared you-know-what-less at fighting George Foreman circa 1990 based on Adilson Rodriquez being ceremoniously planted right in front of DK at ringside as promised and Tyson's choosing less money to fight other guys. I say Foreman gobbles him up in that time period like a Milky Way bar.

Honorable mention for Felix "Soft Whiskers" Trinidad. I still believe Jesse James Hughes would've wore him down and ko'd him late if he had not decided to go "swamp hunting" down in Mobile. That makes me and JJH's immediate family on that side of the opinion, I know.

I seldom waste time truly disliking fighters. My guess that of the fighters you're enamored with, you might change your mind about many if you really knew them personally.
But Chavez Jr. seems like a guy worth despising.
His haughty, obnoxious sense of entitlement (based strictly on his name), ordinary skills, coupled with a total lack of professionalism makes him one of the few fighters I would love to see put to sleep in the ring.

I don't have an unhealthy fixation with anyone, much less a fighter I never met, because I'm not a fvcking nutjob.

There are fighters who's personality or style I like less, but I've never had a weird obsession like this fruitcake has with Ali.

Bobby, aren't you being a bit 'truculent' today.
Fvck you, I don't like your posts full of lies, spite, and conjecture. You make this board significantly worse by your presence.

The only one that thinks he's funny is you...and you suck too since he came along. All you do is follow him around, and make his threads go several pages essentially justifying the bullsh*t he does.

I for one am sick to death of this f*cking guy. I see Bobby is too.
