When ever ive seen Sky advertisin gthe fight it has always said at the bottom that there is a £5 charge to do it by phone it on the day etc

I thought this was a pretty widely known thing. I don't think they make a secret of it, in fact every social media update from anybody connected to it tells you to order before Friday/Saturday.

If everyone waits until the last minute, there is a much greater chance of technical issues. Part of the reason they charge extra is to try and avoid complications.

If you have seen the clause and already ordered, I assume you have told all those people you know who will be thinking of ordering it to do so before tomorrow (or to book via their remote).

Seriously what does it matter to you if a number of people (that you don't know) decide at the last minute to watch the fight and choose to phone their order in, have to pay a £5 subsidy?

I recall them doing this in the late 90's, its nothing new. I agree that it sucks, but what sucks even more is that they make you pay a premium to watch sport when you already subscribe to their 'sports' package. I hate PPV, but my love for boxing always wins out and I buy the fcukers through gritted teeth!

It wouldn't surprise me if Sky make it very difficult to order through your box on Saturday, meaning you have to phone them to order
