Satellite channels

Whats the crack with "im going to watch it live on polish tv" and "Oh, im watching it on ZDF" Is there a satelite for sale that picks these channels up or are some of you guys living abroad. I know you can get the satelite that some pubs have to watch footy on a saturday afternoon but whats the practicality or cost of having one at home??

I know that a lot of those old analog SKY boxes could pick up a lot of channels from around Europe.

As KOJOE says, I pick up ZDF and other free German channels from my old analog Sky dish.
Also get some good free porn as well.

I remember that channel fondly. Wasn't it a German film channel that switched to hardcore porn after midnight? Filmnet I think it was called
