if the last fight sold out quick surely economic sense is get a bigger venue

the next fight will even be bigger

I think everybody is in agreement that the PPV was very poor. So how abut posting a PPV that the fans would be justified buying??

What about a super card where the PPV is an extra tenner or something and you have 4 world title fights on it:

Ricky Burns
Carl Froch
Darren Barker
Scott Quig

Froch is not really a crossover star.

The returns made were alot less from other big PPV Fights.

Froch's team would probably take a large percentage of the PPV so that leaves less for the other fighters, hence, the poor undercard.

I read it was predicted by SKY to have just under 300,000. Which is massive for British Boxing, but in the larger scale of things, doesn't leave much for big stars to be on the under card.

say it was 290k that bought the fight, that still well over £4m (£4.35m) that sky pulled in considering both fighters purses amounted to around £2m, include sponsorship, ticket sales etc, should be a pretty good promotion money wise

The rematch has got so much publicity, it will crossover, no question at all. Every man and his dog wants to know what would have happened if the ref hadn't stopped it. The fight was BIG news on Sunday and a rematch will generate massive interest.

The thing is ppv are shown a week later so if everyone didnt get it they wont charge it but we are wasting our energy typing because people will still buy it. Shouldnt av to pay extra,the footy,rugby,f1, cricket,tennis and darts fans dont av to pay extra just the boxing a wrestling fans get stiffed its a joke

Agreed loads who wouldn't normally watch boxing saw this or at least saw the controversy around it and will watch a rematch. I'd be a little surprised that "only" 300k paid for it this weekend though as a lot of people seemed to be talking about it, unless most did like me and watched it down the pub.

I hope it isn't in a stadium as there aren't many good seats available at a respectable price of course they could get like 40k, but they could have for the first fight.
