Good luck getting the belt off him! He's got the WBA on a retainer I reckon.

Kovalev would knock Bellew out even worse and I say that as a stevenson fan.

Darnell Boone then Enzo Maccarinelli.

Had he tried boxing from the sound of the first bell, he wouldn't have pass the second round.

He's been running away during the whole fight. He knew from the start that he didn't have the chin to make it.

It's hard to see were he goes from here because domestically there aren't any fights out there that are going to fill arenas and he's too small for cruiser so realistically what can he do that he hasn't already done?

I'm sure fast car will come up with something but i think tony is a man who is known for talking a good fight but nearly always dissapointing come fight night.

I wish him the best but maybe it's time to look at a different path.

I think Tony will be a major force at Crusier, he's got the height and frame for it and IMO will punch harder p4p at that weight, good luck whatever he does

Listen mate you're trolling. Bellew was on his back foot because he thought he would be able to frustrate stevenson into making openings for him to counter, him and his team thought that would wear adonis down so they could jump on him in the second half of the fight. Stevenson was too good so the plan didnt work, it was nothing to do with bellews chin, he's renowned for having a great chin.

He'd have to invest highly in a strength & conditioning coach. 14-4 is a big leap!! The old limit would of been Taylor made for him.

Maybe a drop to SM might be a better move.

Where does Bellew go from here? He needs to quit the trash talking, swallow he's pride and move up a weight division

He'd have to saw off he's leg to make SM, according to HBO Bellew blew up to 190lb on night of the fight

At Light heavy he is finished on any sort of world stage. Ive never got any sort of hype with him or even thought the Bomber name tag made any sence.

Maybe come again at euro level or theres maybe some money at a higher weight against Clev. But any sort of world title hopes are deluded

If Maccarinelli can get down to 175 I'm pretty sure with the right diet and training Bellew could get down to 168

I think a fight with Enzo Mac is a good option.

Gets him a fight with a 'name' and keeps him noticed.

Though it's going to be tough for him getting a World a title chance again anytime soon. He can rebuild but after two World Title losses, it's going to longer and tougher now.

He was a heavyweight as a am Amateur and done good so would expect Cruiserweight being the only option.. Light Heavy is not really an option anymore the 2 lads Kovalev and Stevenson will only get beat if they fight each other. Kovalev is something else. People forget Clev has a granite chin and look what he did to him

Retire and become a hot air balloon salesman, his only true calling in life.

Last night was a victory for dwarfs everywhere.

I know Tony was just trying to fight to a game plan, but he talked the talk but just didn't have the ability at the highest level, which in fairness to him is above average at the moment in his division with Stevenson and Kovalev in there.

I have no doubts about how hard he worked in the lead up and I do think he genuinely felt he would win, but his tactics have stunk out the arenas pretty much since the McKenzie rematch.

He complained immediately after the stoppage but the reality is that the referee stopped him from getting seriously injured. It was perfectly timed. Froch talked about free shots after the Groves fight, which was debatable, but nothing debatable about the free shots Adonis had on him at the end.

Not sure where Tony will go from here. Can't imagine any casual fans outside of Liverpool will be too bothered about seeing him on TV again. I doubt he will fight for another world title at this weight, but he may well be able to be a factor at Cruiser which looks a lot less competitive.

He should go up to cruiserweight. He's reached his level at light-heavy. Yes, in theory he could rebuild and win a major title, but the stars would have to completely align in his favour, i.e. he gets a shot at a vacant belt or a weak champion. He's never going to be more than fringe top-10.

No he isn't ! Both Ajisafe and Mckenzie put him on the deck, and they are hardly world beaters.

I was cheering Tony on and his plan was the right approach. Unfortunately he got rocked and his legs buckled, an instant stoppage situation unless he took a knee, but he was boxed in and in trouble.

It struck me how thin he was when stood alongside Adonis, and have to concede that he looks like he needs to take a few months out and feed himself up.

A good rest, then see what's at 175lb or regroup at cruiser. He certainly offers the sport something and I like the way he carried himself in this fight. He was focused and fully aware throughout, even the conclusion.

He had a go at 'the man' in his back yard, can't knock that.

People will compare Tony and Clev's last respective performances , and believe he did absolutely miles better.

That will only change perspective if Kovalev destroys Adonis.

I think he will destroy him.

That leaves Nathan vs Tony to rematch at cruiser weight. Which would be a really interesting fight for British fans , if the promoters can make it happen?

But I think Eddie will go for Shumenov. Barker failed at first and now has the belt. I think Eddie will try and get fight to secure Tony's future bank balance. I just hope he can be strong at the weight, if not move up.
