I think/hope Cleverly can do it he still has all the ability to compete at Light Heavy I personally think apart from Kovalev, Stevenson and Hopkins there isn't anyone that can beat him. He knows himself better than me though he will do well though world title fight in 18 months, same probably goes for Bellew.

Im a big fan of Chris Keane, I think a british title may be his limit though. Good fighter though.

Give it a couple of years and then I think Deoin Jumah could be a good shout for a world title.

British Cruiserweight isn't good, only two in the Top-25. Afolabi may be ranked #6 in BoxRec, but for me he doesn't belong into the Top-10. I would rank these guys higher: Hernandez, Huck, Jones, Mchunu, Wlodarczyk, Chambers, Drozd, Lebedev, Makabu, Arslan, Kudryashov and maybe Alekseev. No particular order.

Top-25 yes, Top-10 no.

The other Top-25 candidate would be Cleverly, who just got knocked out in the light-heavy. I think he would get problems against punchers like Makabu, Lebedev, Wlodarczyk, Chakhiev & Guillermo Jones. Maybe Kovalev hits harder, but these guys can definitely break Cleverly down before R12 is reached. Cleverly himself hasn't had much power in the light-heavys, and it's not going to be more than average in the cruiserweight-division.

There is a british champion in Afolabi, but he clearly isn't Top-10, and for sure not #1. Maybe there will be a british Top-10 in near future, but i can't see him, when i watch all active british cruisers. I can't see a british guy who could be a Top-10 or let alone the #1.

Without being biased, I think Chris could bring back a lot of entertainment & excitement to this division if he is given the chance and not avoided, he will either knock you flat out or if you can really bang & you will have to really be able to bang to lay him out then get knocked out, either way very exciting for the paying public & fans, a bit of a Benn type character tbh, who just wants to cause has much destruction has possible when he puts a pair of 10oz gloves on

Interesting comments. I'm keeping an eye on the progress of Jon Lewis dickinson. After big delays and fighting through many injuries i would like to see him fight fully fit when lonsdale belt outright and push on from there. I would fancy him to beat cleverly

Stephen Simmons on his night would outwork and beat Jon

I like Dawson the best though imagine British level will be the heights for him; I reckon he'd be chuffed with that though - a real achievement; he seems a very down to earth and likeable man and he can really punch.

Lets face it if big Tony steps up, Nathan,Dickinson,Simmons and a few others it could turn into a very good division

Agreed. I would love to see Bomber and Clev fight some of these guys, but I have a feeling they'll be fighting imports. It'd be a damn shame if they did.
