A top 25 Light Heavy, maybe top 20, and he might squeeze into the top 100.

I don't have a concrete list. That's why I said maybe top 20. Some of these I'd have to research and I'm probably forgetting others...

Charles, Tunney, Moore, Greb, Marshall, Bivins, Berlenbach, Loughran, Rosenbloom, Lewis, Spinks, O'Brien, Slattery, Delaney, Stribling, Gibbons, Conn, Maxim, Harold Johnson, Pastrano, Fox, Harvey, Roy and maybe even my boy Saad.

It's a loaded division. Many of these guys are subjective. No way in hell his resume is top 10.

I always looked at Foster as one of the all time greatest. However I guess his resume against other all time greats is very low. . and looking through the pantheon of history at what great fighters have been at their best at Light Heavy it DOES make it very tight at the top!

I have him easily in the Top 10 for light heavyweights and in the Top 50 of all fighters.
His opponents at 175 while not certainly not great, is a little underrated, and he usually won easily. He was very consistent.

At light heavyweight, the great Bob Foster was invincible in his prime. He had 14 title defenses, more than any light heavyweight champion in history. Cleaned up the division when he decapitated Vicente Rondon. But, he could not do away with the BIG DOGS, the heavyweights. Five of his 8 losses were at heavyweight. The other 3 losses were when he was not in his prime. One of the finest light heavyweights in history. An awesome puncher. I rate him at 175lbs behind the greats Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, Tommy Loughran, and Michael Spinks. After that, I don't see nobody at that weight class better than he.

To me, Foster was not a top 50 all time p4p great. He is in the top 100 though.
