Was meant to be over Xmas I was told, is it cause of commonwealth games?

They have put them back untill February.

isnt it delayed due to them not having to wear head gear.. giving time to adjust?

Delayed due to the adoption of AIBA rules. This will give clubs and boxers time to adjust.
ABA wont be ABA for much longer, rebranding to England Boxing I think as AIBA are requesting all National Federations remove amateur from their title. Part of AIBA's bid to govern all boxing not just amateur.

Yep! Power hungry people who don't even care about boxing are doing this to the sport.
