The channel will initially only be available on SKY. The plan is to have the channel rolled out on Virgin Media shortly afterwards.

Couldn’t be any worserer than the HD make-up that Smith and Froch were caked in in Germany on the weekend. I’ve seen Rochdale slags in a Yates’ with less lippy on!

Shower of B*stards!!!!!!. Why is it always the virgin customers who have to wait. Surely its a subscibtion channel on both, why cant it be done on both at the same time.

Typical frank

SKY is a fairly open platform, as long as you can afford to buy a spot on their EPG. Virgin is a closed platform. It's entirely up to Virgin if they want to carry a channel or not. Unlike SKY, Virgin would have to pay allegedly to host the channel on their platform. The delay will be due to Virgin trying to negotiate the right deal that makes sense for them. There is no guarantee Virgin will carry the channel. It took Virgin over 4 years to add Premier Sports, another subscription channel, to their platform.

Better late than never.

Does anyone know if it's going to cost any more on top of the initial sub?

I've noticed a lot of gripes about the lack of HD for this since allegedly launched and to be honest, i've never been that fussed about it. I know it makes a difference but i still end up watching most things on the normal channels rather than HD. As long as it doesn't increase the price

It says no extra cost for Sky subscribers who already have HD. Though I imagine the number of people who are whining about the lack of BN HD that don't already have Sky HD to be close to zero.

Don't know how it will work with Virgin, BT and online viewing.

Great news, especially at no extra cost.

Hopefully while they're at it they'll sort out that camera in Bunce's studio that always looks weirdly off-colour.

Either the whole event was running well behind time or they got the schedule utterly wrong.

I do manual record now and add on 2 or 3 hours! Been caught out too many times. I tweeted Bunce about it and how poor it was - only to get told everyone knows it happens and I should be setting manual record, like it was my fault. You'd think given the length of time the channel's been running that they'd have ensured it doesn't happen any more (or try to prevent it from happening) but it's still a massive issue.

I always record the programme after and it generally works but last Sunday morning was way out . Oh well this weekend I'm Donaire v Arce which finishes at 8 in the morning , that'll do it!
