Appleby claims he was robbed. Ref scored 58-57 Bowes. Bowes team felt right decision

Only 2 rounds there, but I gave both to Appleby. In the first, Bowes threw a lot on the back punch, but little landed with most falling short or hitting gloves. He landed a few lefts in the second, but Appleby landed numerous clean shots upstairs.

Ouch.. That fight isn't even close. There is a slight argument that Bowes could of got the first as it was tight but the rest of the fight is all Appleby. Mainly on work rate as it was a messy fight. All Bowes does is grab should of been points off.

Referee's performances should be looked at this is a lads career and he was clearly robbed there not even a close fight. Devastated for Appleby. Who were the commentators? Should apply for a job with Sky!! Got to be impartial if your commentating.

My first thoughts on seeing Appleby had lost were that it's time to retire for him. Then I saw the fight. Disgusting. Absolute robbery. I had it 60-52 Appleby, taking 2 points from Bowes for the holding that he was warned for, but never punished. What the commentators were on I don't know, Sky are better than that, even the 2 South Africans for the Van Heerden-Hatton fight were better. How anyone could score that fight to Bowes is beyond me, ridiculous.

That really is brutal, feel sorry for appleby hes worked like a trojan to get back to be robbed like that, and people have the cheek to say they get robbed in Scotland, maybe some of these English fighters fancy a little journey up here without the excuses:)

i thought he was done to after the lee connely fight mate but i spoke to him after fight and he said was rusty and next one he would be different fighter, think he showed there he still got loads left, was coming on strong anf was just warmed up after the 6 rounds, few more rounds he would have got rid of bowes.
