As much as I love Lyle I have to go for Bowe on points but it would be tough with Bowe getting hurt, maybe dropped en-route to a close but unanimous decision.

At their mutual best Bowe would punish Lyle. It would be entertaining while Lyle hung in there....but I only see one outcome. And it does not go the distance.

For me RB beat Lyle by late stoppage.

Bowe has to be a favorite here.

Ron Lyle had '5' careers during his Professional run.
Unless otherwise noted, you can always assume that hypothetical matchups are made with Prime vs Prime in mind.

Well then Il Duce....it's time for critical thinking....I say.....narrow down the time line.
Make it his best performance......Which is about all you have with Bowe as well.
No need to thank me Ducher.....I'm always here to help.

something that you need to have in order
to win the important close fights. this one
would be such fight.

Agreed. Bowe would have everything on him. Ron might stagger him a few times, but it won't be enough. I like Bowe by stoppage around 7 or 8

The 'best' Ron Lyle
* December 9, 1972........... KO 3 over Larry Middleton
Ron at 216 lbs. > {Age; 31 years, 10 months} improved to 19-0-0 {17 KO's}, and moved up the #3 Heavyweight.
Ron was at his fastest, which was 'slow'. But, he showed frightening power in this bout, leading many to say he was
by far the hardest puncher in the Heavyweight Division since Sonny Liston.
This Ron Lyle would have taken any version of Riddick Bowe.
Yeah will I just looked this up in the Akashik Record.....and it don't pan out that way at all.

I am favouring Bowe in this one but Lyle is very capable of winning this fight . if the big polish ball buster can push Bowe so hard then is it really so hard to see Lyle getting the victory

Well for what it's worth, I think Golata would smash Lyles balls just as competently.

I give the slight edge to Bowe because he showed greater recuperative abilities during his career but this would be a war and I could definitely see Lyle winning by stoppage via Riddick's leaky defense (which was worse than Foreman's)

I think that Bowe busts Lyle up at range and on the inside.
sure Lyle has a chance but against the 1991-92 Bowe. I see
it being all Big Daddy.
