What's your fight of the year been, both domestically and internationally?

Kirkland vs Tapia - International

Agree on the Froch vs Groves but sure there is another from this year what was class.

KO of the year I give to Derry Mathews of Coyle getting beat heavily then huge shot and wins the fight.

Stephen Smith against Gary Buckland surely has to be KO of the year, one punch, lights out, face first.

If i remember correctly an Honorable mention could go to Dodson vs Smith as well?

Jones vs Lebedev also in the honorable mentions list, injuries aside that was one of the greatest cruiserweight fights of all time.

Yeah good call, a brutal KO perfectly executed.

Jones/Lebedev was a gruelling cracker. Although Lebedev came of badly worse, the amount of punishment that Jones soaked up was mental. There has been a couple of eyes like that this year (not as bad though!). Angulo/Lara and there was another one recently but I can't remember it.

What an end to a really good fight.

I've not seen Kirkland/Tapia yet but will watch this weekend. Thanks for reminder.

Kirkland-Tapia was good, but far too one-sided imo to contend for FOTY.

I concur with the suggestion of Bradley-Provodnikov for international FOTY and Groves-Froch for domestic; I think Bradley-Provodnikov takes the overall title.

Matthews-Crolla and Conquest-Camacho were another couple of belting domestic fights that deserve a mention

International - Rios Vs. Alvarado II
Domestic - Froch Vs. Groves

KO of the year - Stevenson Vs. Dawson (Matthysse destroying Peterson is up there too)

Jones vs Lebedev was the best in my eyes. Oddly, I think the fight was too brutal to gain the recognition it deserved.
Domestically, Froch vs Groves produced the greatest action, but it's marred by the early stoppage. It would have definitely been domestic FOTY for me, maybe internationally as well depending on what happened.
This will be an even less popular choice, but I'm going with Price vs Thompson II as domestic FOTY. That was a very entertaining heavyweight tear up (we don't see enough these days) with a conclusive ending.

Yeah Garcia was one of the permances of the year, he totally nullified the threat of Matthysse.
Other contenders off the top of my head IMO
Bradley v Marquez, Rigo vs Donaire, Matthysse v Peterson, .

Gonzalez v Mares has to be one of the upsets of the year!
