Last night Gunnar "The Stunna" Jackson put his career back on track with a brilliant performance in beating Fijian Opeti Tagi for the WBO Oriental Middleweight Title. Jackson looked sharp from the get go, letting go with fast crisp punches he had Tagi backing up straight away. Tagi showed he was no push over anhd returned fire with a nice jab of his own in what was a close round that Jackson edged with the cleaner punches. The 2nd begun with Jackson upping the tempo and Tagi had no answer after a beautiful left body rip had him wincing a follow up left hook landed clean and Tagi was in trouble. Jackson jumped on his hurt opponent dropping him for a count of 8 before Tagi rose and bravely continued but he was still hurt and Jackson who sensed the fight could be closed early jumped on him again landing serval clean shots that ended in Tagi falling through the ropes and being counted out.
The win demonstrated Jackson belongs in the Middleweight divison, after his local rivarly with Taihia which ended in a DRAW and a LUD12 hes now back on track.
