Just a quick question, With it coming to light that Brandon Rios failed a drug test will Marcos Maidana be drug tested automatically? They are both using the same strength and conditioner and same team and in my opinion they know that Rios was using! I really hope Maidana did it all naturally but cant stop thinking that hes gonna fail one!! Surely Broner and his team will be calling for testing also

Maidana's biggest improvement has been his basic boxing skills, hence the improved performances lately.

I really wouldnt be shocked if Maidana does end up testing positive. Not because I think he's a cheat but because Ariza is there.

Spot on. Im sorry but I really have a feeling hell fail the test, if he does he needs to be banned for life, what I found strange was that the way he was rocking broner. Didnt expect that as broner has been known to take a shot quite well. For me Ariza is a cheat and although it will never be proved I also think mayweather was right about pacmans camp regarding the exact same issues! Thats now Margarito and Rios failed from Robert Garcias Gym, anyone else?

In all title fights over here , even area titles theres a compulsory test. Also I'm not at all saying its right but would any sort of pill/injection make one punch harder. ? Your a knockout puncher or you aren't. I thought its in your technique. Please edumacate me

I think it can increase strength which could help with your punching power to some regard. In theory atleast.

Well Rios got done for a dietary supplement (I think). I don't think Maidana usually struggles to make this weight. Does he?

I would be gutted if he was taking illegal substances. Last night was such a good advert for boxing and was an example of all what's good about boxing. (No dodgy decision included)

The only guy broner fought at the weight was arguably the lightest pucher at the top end of any division.

To be fair, Maidana is a proven puncher and Broner is a lightweight. Lets not try and take the shine off of what happened last night. Broner was found out, thats all.

If somebodys silly enough to let Maidana catch them clean, he's rocking any fighter in the division. Broner hasn't ever been fully chin checked, let alone against a heavy punching welterweight.

Maiadana's technique has improved since joining Garcia, using the jab more, better footwork and all other basic fundamentals. He's no Sugar Ray, but he's a lot less crude than he was.

Maiadana wouldn't need the same diuretics Rios used as he hasn't ever had an issue making weight, Rios has been a notorious drainer most of his career.

Maidana went distance with khan in which he didn't actually have him down did he? Wouldn't say thts a puncher . He can hit hard but didn't think hard enough to trouble broner. Fair play but it's not actually known what rios has used yet I don't think. All hearsay?

Johnny - enhancers etc all improve strength . That's why they are used in all aspects of sport
Unfortunately. Although the theory of your a puncher or not would be ideal not like that and punch power can be altered through drug use hence why it's banned and not legalised

Yeh I suppose so.its not right however you look at it,just I'm not sure a bit of extra muscle makes you hit harder, I've seen big fella's hit people and punch like an old woman.it would help nearly everything you do in a ring but in my experience you hit hard or you don't.

Maidana had Khan out of it. Khan has a better chin than people say, he's no Carl Froch but its not the china people make out.

Khan has a shit ton of Heart & balls, which has actually been his main problem. Most refs could have quite legitimitely stopped that fight, I'm glad it wasn't but it was nip and tuck.

Anyone suggesting MM isn't a puncher is crazy, he bounced Khan around the ring at times, Victor Ortiz got broken, Broner got beat up, he TKO'd Soto Karass a definite hard bastard, KO over cayo.

Pulling up some shitty instagram video means nothing, smelling salts work to wake up someone who's knocked out or drowsy, Maidana was never like that. Could quite easily have been water to help wash away blood around the nose.
