Looks like lirva is angling to fill the void left by the departure of Mr. Max "just pick the opposite" Kellerman from ESPN. I and my wallet really miss Max and his anti-picks. :P

As this this is clearly a thread not concerned with boxing i'd just like to bring the Horror channel to everyones attention. Hopefully they'll show Zombie flesh eaters in the near future.
On to the subject of Lirva33. The guy clearly belongs in a lunatic asylum (albeit a low security one). He has twenty grand in the bank and spends it on betting. That's bad enough, but to bet on even money fights like this one is madness.
Lirva, back the odds, not the fighters. You'll never make any money on these type of fights because long term you'll lose as often as you win. Back heavy favourites, you'll make less on every bet but at least you'll win the majority. Don't bet on the underdogs (unless you have inside knowledge), the odds are longer for a reason.
Just a little advice my old man told me. You don't have to take it though, it's your money. Good luck.

Damn. for fornicate sakes.
That's 3 fuckin losses in a row. What's even more worrying is that I thought they were guarantees. I'm now down 250.
I'm going to take a more professional approach to gambling after this fight on Saturday, starting with 1k on RJJ. (1/7)

I think we are going to witness the gradual self destruction of an individual...
be careful man. roy jones at 1/7 is not a good price. you wouldn't even make up the amount you are down by.

As a pretty keen horror film fan I was quite excited when I saw this new channel start up. Until I saw the schedule. I mean what was that shite they put on last night? "The Soriorty Girls & The Creature From Hell". Give me a break.

I don't subscribe to Sky Movies but I have heard about this one, it's not really a scary film as such though is it?

I'll make 142 when I put 1000 on Jones.
Seriously though, If Jones loses this, I'll go crazy.

I've had a vision: Audley Harrison beats Julius Francis on Saturday. Never doubt the psyche.

The Omen is a much underrated classic. When i was a little nipper the scene where Gregory Peck cracks open the graves of the kids parents and finds that they contain dog skeletons really shit me up. It's probably only the second ever film to scare me. I don't wish to reveal the first unless pressed. It's way too embarassing.
J, do you play x box live?

Agree mate the first time I watched it was with my bro and I was so petrified that when he made me go make him a coffee for letting me stay up late I refused and went to bed lol, I was only 8 or somink mind, but never left me that.
No mate I would but basis I have other things in my life I tend to just play with myself
I do however own 70 odd games, most of which sit in a pile collecting dust cos I cant be arsed to figure em out.

That scene in The Omen when the photographer sees a premonition of his own death in a photo he's taken, is SCARY!

its all pretty scary, the music, the lil kid, the dark lighting, the dogs all of it, its just totally reeking malevolence, awesome movie better than the excorcist in my opinion as it doesnt date as much due to the lack of "special effects". Tip top. 8)

At those odds, you'd be far better putting 100 on Tarver to win. Much less downside potential (though a higher downside probability) than your bet above, and if you win, you win far more than 142 quid.
IMHO, the only way to make money over the long-term in sports betting is to bet very carefully, on underdogs who are likely vastly underrated. It's like looking for undervalued stocks in the markets. But both require you to have deep knowledge of the game, and to do your homework (I know, those are ugly words there.)
A good example was the Hopkins/Trinidad fight. Anyone who'd followed Hopkins' career should've known that there was no way he should've been worse than even money, but in that case Trinidad's popularity greatly skewed the odds. But obvious (at least to the hardcore fan) examples like that don't come along all that often, and having the patience to wait for them is not a common trait in sports bettors, many of whom are gambling addicts and need a regular fix.

What were the odds for Tito v Hop, Eric?
