I'm just wondering if Mike Tyson could had beat Douglas in a rematch i'm not talking against the overweight no motivated Douglas that lost to Holyfield but what if Douglas could had train hard and with the same winning mentality of the first fight can he could had beat a better prepare Tyson?

I think so yes, though obviously it would've been a much stiffer test for him. Mike would've been a lot more fierce in the early going though, probably scoring a few more knockdowns along the way, but I think Douglas had the physical tools to beat Mike anytime if he showed up with that same intensity he showed up with on that night in Tokyo.

Everyone seems to talk about how Tyson was past it/not training/not taking it seriously etc but I think it really discounts just how good Buster looked that night. That Buster shows up against any top 15 HW ever he gives a lot them some trouble. He really did look brilliant in that one performance.

He looked like the Heavyweight Champion of the World

Consiering the coindition Buster showed up in against Holyfield, I'd definitively take Tyson to win a rematch.

He is asking what if Douglas trained as hard and was as motivated as he was when he beat Tyson, could he bea Tyson it again if Tyson was "prepared"?

Oh, my bad. I'd take the Douglas from Tokyo over any Tyson. So yes, Douglas by KO.

Buster Douglas was a good gifted fighter. He just did not like to train. Or may I say, did not took the sport seriously. If taken the sport seriously, he would have been one of the greatest heavyweights ever.

Tyson wins fairly comfortably...stoppage in less than 5 rounds.
