Personally, aside from boxrec, BS is where I tend to get my fix of the latest boxing news. Really like the layout of the site and the stories and interviews they get over there *shout out to Terry* ... In regards to writers themselves, I have to be honest, I tend to enjoy articles or interviews and kind of ignore who wrote it which is poor on my behalf. So yeah, who do you like? Ps I know there's a fair few writers who frequent the forums themselves so get involved if you wish

Sporting Life,s boxing page is very good and has a heads up on most current events as well as a monthly UK and World p4p top 10

Hugh McIllvanney on Boxing is a brilliant little book. He wrote it in a previous incarnation prior to the pompous ramblings he serves up in the Sunday Times now.

I also like the guys that write-up the fights for the broadsheets. Buncey, Ron Lewis and there was a bloke I've not heard of before who wrote up Froch-Groves for the Guardian called Sachin Nakrani, who was also competent, informed and interesting to read. I like Bob Mee as well.

oh and even though my Boxing News love-affair isn't what it once was and I don't buy it religiously any more, I have started getting the Boxing Monthly because it's consistently a brilliant read - but alas I haven't got many of the names down yet. Graham Houston could be one..

Bob Mee stands apart

fightnews - short sharp and too the point. Gives me the results and brief descriptions of fights I won't be able to see myself and interviews etc.

Sorry to be on a downer, not particularly fussed if it is Shakespere themselves writing a critical thesis on the fight.... just want a brief synopsis - and fightnews delivers in an easy format.

this is the piece I found in the Guardian in my library. I only go to the decent newspapers for the boxing. Any from Times/ Independent/ Guardian. James Lawton did some brilliant stuff in the Independent for many years.

Not sure about Sachin. Good writer but he reads like a sports writer who got assigned to boxing, rather than someone who is truly passionate about it. If I remember rightly he suggested that it was a Froch flurry to the body that brought the referees intervention against Groves. I know it's a small thing but some time it's the little details...

Elliot Worsell is a truly fantastic writer.

Terry Dooley is also very good indeed.

I also like what Andy Wake writes too.

Terry Dooley is excellent but elitist - more usernames than hot dinners. I don't read Boxing News anymore, but like listening to Tris and Matt Christie's podcasts. Chris Walker is very knowledgable too, as is Danny Wright and Ian McNeilly.

I grew up reading Graham Houston and still feel he's the best preview writer out there. Doug Fischer, ex Max Boxing, always provided some excellent insight but I've lost touch with him since his move to The Ring.

Boxrec is #1 for me. I think most of the people in boxing would be lost if this site were to shutdown for any reason

BS has loads of gossip and probably the most up to date for news

But to be honest I really used to enjoy the American boxing podcast ATG Radio too

It would be remiss of me not to mention my BN colleagues John Dennen, Matt Christie and Paul Wheeler who are consistently excellent.

Outside of my own team, Chris Walker, Donald McRae and Elliot Worsell are all very good. Ron Borges I enjoy.

But the one who I've been really impressed with recently is Oli Goldstein who is a breath of fresh air and annoyingly young.

Finally, people who work full time and still find time to contribute an interview or overview from the heart, regardless of whether the apostrophe is in the correct place or not, have my respect.

Was Goldstein the one who wrote the piece on Kovalev and Provodinkov for BM? I stopped reading that after a paragraph. Bit OTT for me.
