as much as I like tommy,i fear for him here,i can see mccallum strangling the life out of the fight and waiting for either tommy`s stamina to wane or for him to hang his chin out, mccallum by late stoppage

Hearns by clear decision at either weight.

I'd take Hearns by Decision as well. There's always the chance that McCallum could catch him and stop him, but I think Hearns would be able to survive a few scary moments and take it pretty clearly.

Thomas would beat McCallum by decision in both weights

The great Mike McCallum is the ONLY GUY that I could see to beat the great Thomas Hearns at 154lbs, where the Hitman was at the peak of his powers. The Jamaican "Body Snatcher" was very good. A COMPLETE FIGHTER. It would be a tough fight to bet against any of the two. But I pick Mike.

The hearns of 84-86 at either weight wins on points .look at McCallum being outboard by a slower curry for 4 rounds.look at what kalambays movement did to him.look how close the Graham fight was.McCallum was a great and that's why he overcame those 3 eventually.he had a lot of tools in his box,one punch knockout power plus a great brain.but Tommy in this era had blistering speed, boxing skills and still had a chin. That Tommy of 87-89 who began to have a chin hemmorage McCallum might have got him

I agree with Hearns by decision, although a knockout isn't out of the question if he lands a punch as big as the one he stopped Duran with. It's a great matchup in that both guys would have a good chance of winning.

I'd take the Sugar Ray Robinson from his early middleweight days to beat Hearns at 154lb.
