With whom Ali fought?

That's an exhibition fight between Ali and Michael Dokes.

What's the timeline on that? They both seemed to have their reaction time pretty intact......Dokes had pretty fast hands early on....and this must have beer very early on I'm guessing....so that little snippet is impressive....even if luck played a role. lol

So, I have it on good authority that this takes place in 1977 Dokes had very fast hands, so this is pretty interesting. 1977 is the year that Ali defended against Evangalista and Shavers.......I have to think this happened before the Shavers fight.....surely Ernie slowed the old man down a bit. lol.


But still, you have to admire this.....Dokes was quick and only landing on air, and Ali was so arrogant, he didn't even lift his hands off the ropes......if this was anybody else, you have to imagine that Dokes would have at least caught his opponent once during that short burst. Earlier in Ali's career maybe he could have slipped those while sipping on a beer.

Somebody march Il Duce in here and make him watch that. Maybe he'll be impressed.
