Round 1 - Mundine comes out jabbing and moving. Slow start. Siaca hasn't done much early. Siaca's punches are a lot slower. Mundine's body looks ripped compared to the Puerto Rican. Mundine looks confident at the end of the round fighting wiuth his hands down. Siaca has little if any offence. Mundine 10-9.

Round 2 - Mundine looks sure on his feet. They exchange jabs, then Mundine raises the crowd with a three punch combination. Siaca attacks at the end of the round. Mundine is rocked with a left hook and hits the canvas at the bell. He beats the count and looks OK.
Siaca 10-8

Round 3 - Mundine looks like he knows he is in a fight. Both men come out jabbing and more active. Both land good shots and Mundine looks prepraed to stand and trade at times. Mundine seems to have recovered from the knockdown. Close round. Mundine 10-9.

Round 4 -Mundine working the body more. Siaca looks confident, Mundine looks concerned. Siaca is using a slow stalking method. Mundine has the faster hands, but Siaca is landing the stronger punches. Another close round. Siaca 10-9.

Round 5 - Mundine comes out busy. A head clash from Siaca sees a small cut behind Mundine's left ear. Mundine lands two good right hands. Siaca is slower to the punch this round. Mundine 10-9.

Round 6 - Mundine slips on the wet canvas early. No kncokdown.Mundine is being busier. Siaca is loading his right hand for one KO blow. Mundine eludes him and Siaca nearly swings himself over the ropes. Mundine 10-9.

Round 7 - When Siaca attacks he looks good,but he is not doing it enough. Mundine is winning the rounds by being busy. Mundine lands a cheeky right hand, the crowd roars. Mundine 10-9.

Round 8 - Mundine opens with a fast combination and then another lead right hand. Mundine is on his toes and boucning again. He looks confident. Siaca's corner is screaming at him to throw more punches. Mundine 10-9.

Round 9 - Siaca has so much sweat and water on him it looks like he has been swimming. Siaca lands too slow lefts. Mundine is quieter this round. Close round as Siaca just edges it. Siaca 10-9.

Round 10 - Siaca is working hard as Mundine looks to avoid his onrushes. Not much offense from Mundine. Siaca is landing more punches now. Siaca 10-9.

Round 11 - This fight ebbs and flows.Mundine starts well, Siaca comes back then Mundine lands a huge right uppercut that has the crowd roaring and lifts Siaca's head right up. Mundine did enough to win the round. Mundine 10-9.

Round 12 - A lot of holding. Siaca is woirking more. The ref stops the fight to wipe the canvas with 40 seconds to go. Siaca attacks with abandon. Mundine holding on. Mundine works on the inside. Siaca 10-9.

everyone can take him seriously, he lost a SD to a decent fighter.....
Mundine is a good fighter, just not as good as he thinks!!!!

i wonder how much his performance was hampered by his ankle

off course they will use that as a reason to losing the fight. think there will be a rematch, unless king has his way

Perhaps this will help accelerate the meeting between Mundine and GReen. I hope so. In Australia this fight would be massive.

Mundine should have listened to his old man (Tony Mundine was a far better fighter) and pulled out of the fight.

Oh well, so much for one Super Middleweight. I hope Mundine comes back, still learning the trade. However, that chin isn't granite and it probablycost him this fight.

Who next for Siaca? Mads Larsen? That one would be good, I quite like Larsen.

Danny Green would pan the shite out of Mundine.

What makes me laugh is how easily Calzaghe could have probably cleaned up the Super-Middle division over the last 2-3 years. And I mean properly cleaned up, WBC, WBA, IBF, the full monty.

They all keep beating each other whilst JC has maintained a level of consistency that I feel would have been enough to unify the division. Such a shame he has such a w@nker for a promoter.

I totally agree with Goz here, looking at the competition and the fellow "Champions" he could have even gone abroad and swept up this mediocre bunch of champions but instead chose to stay at home and be one himself I like Mundine but he is chinny and that is a fact, he would not last 6 rounds with Green IMO.

In his time, yes he was, but does that make him the best trainer for his son? Not all good or great fighters make good or great trainers. Also alot of the best trainers have never fought.

ANTHONY Mundine vowed today to regain a world boxing title before the end of the year.

Mundine said he definitely wanted to accept Manny Siaca's offer of a rematch after the Puerto Rican claimed his WBA super middleweight title on a split decision in hometown Sydney last night.

Fronting the media for the first time since the loss, Mundine refused to use his ankle injury as an excuse for defeat.

He also dismissed any suggestion of a return to rugby league saying he only lost his title by a "razor-sharp" margin.

Mundine admitted he should have been more aggressive at various stages of the fight which he lost by two points on two of the judges' cards while one voted him ahead by one point.

He admitted his camp had probably miscalculated the state of the fight entering the final round when he needed to do more.

Mundine should win a return, but I can't see him fighting a Siaca with a belt. I do believe that Siaca's mandatory is Larsen and I don't think he can beat him. But even so they will (mundine-siaca) probably have to fight again for the 1st mandatory for Larsen. Well at least thats how I hope it goes anyway.
