Change in management and injuries have hampered Ronnie's progress this year but I expect him to be busier and a better fighter after he recovers properly from his hand injury.
I like his attitude and willing to fight anyone, but not so keen on some of the things said by people close to him!!! haha

They think they are doing good by him but i'm not so sure.

4 wins, 2 stoppages, was lined up for a commonwealth title shot but unfortunetly a hand injury scrapped that, but hey these things happen, not too bad of a year id say. Truth is and Davie you could ask Ronnie this himself, We dont care. Boxing is terrible and we dread going to the shows. We want Ronnie on first so we can leave soon as hes off? Same as Mikey Towells lot done at prospect boxing show. The shows kill us and we back our local fighter. DanielGraham we dont hide who we are and look at most of my posts I am completly ripping the piss. One thing I am serious about is atleast he wont dodge anyone and if he doesnt get the fights he wants etc he can hold his head high and say he wasnt a coward and run away from a fight. He travelled. I would love for you guys to have a conversation with Ronnie and ask if we arnt honest with him:)

We are still vocal just a bit boring on here lack of Banter!!! I reckon he will World Champion by end of July if not you can give me more abuse!! His fan club are shocking not one of them know who their dad is. But come on Davie our ideas are the best!! We didn't make him wear BBE gloves ;)

A shame about the injuries cud b interesting with purse bids as jon kays is fighting lee glover in march and his been matched with ronnie in a eliminator for british title. I'm looking forward to the next 12 months to see if ronnie can push on. I've never seen him fight but I do like the attitude ill fight any one. Good luck to him

I agree about the BBE gloves, I don't rate them either!!

At Aberdeen Ronnie's fans were exactly the type of fans we like at our shows Loud and proud but not causing any trouble!!

For David and Jamie
I wasn't speaking about what you say to him personally but I sometimes think he gets a raw deal on here and other sites because of some of the stuff you write. I don't think it really bothers him though but what you say can make others judge Ronnie when they don't know him or haven't met him. He's as nice a guy you can meet.

Just my opinion I don't want all the Dundee boys chasing me the next time he is boxing up here!!!!! hahahaha

I know Ronnie would fight anyone, anywhere and I love his attitude but boxing is a business and you have to understand that. Because of the money that can be made when you are stepped up promoters and managers are just not willing to take a chance on fighters like Ronnie who are dangerous and will fight till the end because it can ruin future earnings unless they have too. That's why it is so important for him to get over his injuries and give himself the best chance of winning the eliminator so he can get the fights he craves and find out where he can go in boxing.

I have also spoke to Ronnie and he has told me that you are honest with him mate.

All the background stuff is nonsense, nothing else matters other than getting fights with rated opponents to get himself into an elimination contest for the British title. It's got to happen this year. No more 6 rounders against no chancers - Caird Hall against someone recognisable - promoted by the Dundee press, local media - push the boat out - get as many tickets sold as possible -and why not make an approach to STV to show highlights late in the evening as a 'one off' event for them. Everybody working to promote it. Get a gimmick - RYAN GAULD's NOT THE ONLY RISING SUPERSTAR IN DUNDEE !! Think big !!

I just hope the Dundee council help more than the Aberdeen council helped us when we putting together the European Title show because they didn't give us much help!! Without t.v it is very hard to put on the types of fights we all want on our shows.

He has already got his eliminator against John Kays for the British Title and it is now down to purse bids.

Ronnie gets no support from local stuff in Dundee bar his sponsor, The council back cricket players and domino teams. Its ridiculous. Also the newspapers dont show much interest either with alot of people around Ronnie having to push them to even write a story about him. In Dundee it seems that the mma fighters and kickboxers are rated higher and you always here more of them than you will of Ronnie, Mikey Towell or Jamie Wilson. Its insane as these 3 are quite possibly a great chance of achieving things in boxing.

I know. What people don't realise on these pages are we are hardly ever serious. Too many people on these forums take themselves too serious. In honesty 90% of opinions on here are stupid so we just go with the flow.. Ronnie is a nice guy and so are all his fans.(well most some smell a little) won't mention any names but go see a dentist) What people don't get is we give Ronnie more a hard time than anyone else. He doesn't train hard we give him abuse. He starts talking about his fan club we give him abuse. I'm my opinion the people on this forum should be thanking us we are nicer on here than we are to Ronnie. The OP on this thread has made a few comments about Ronnie in the past. Daniel I'm guessing you and your family have been really successful in boxing since you state he's a "good prospect" "nothing more".. What are you then? What have you done in your life to judge others? I've never heard of you. That's probably a good thing.. for me
