Why wasn't the Hall eye looked at?

Seems very strange........
We are becoming a joke of a nation....that fight should have been stopped.Power777 wrote:Because he is the home fighter.
It seemed to get worse after the fight. I'm sure he could still open it at the end of the 10th. I have no idea if it had fully closed by the 11th.crusader wrote:I'll need another look, but while the eye was in bad shape it didn't look so bad to me that the fight should've been stopped.

Certainly no way we can start acting high and mighty when the Russians allow Lebedev to continue....
And who cares about Hall's long term health and safety as long as he gets the W anyway?
it shows that when your with the promotor things seem to go in your favour ,ask carl froch about that... :)thepocketrocket wrote:I'm amazed it wasn't looked at. If the doctor had said that it was OK then so be it.
But considering that the commentary crew were saying it was closed (they had a better view than me and you) the lack of willingness to EVEN SHOW it the doctor smacks of not being happy that he may have given an answer Hall and his crew may not have liked.
In the end I just want to see the fighters safe.
BTW, if Malinga had that swelling, would the doctor have had a look?
I care that fighters aren't allowed to fight with an eye closed in a sport where you can die..bit more complex than 'they rob us, we rob em back and giggle ablout it'Black Sam Bellamy wrote:Who cares ? British fighters havent got a hope of getting a decision in most territories so why do we have to be apologists to our own fighters getting the rub over here ?
I do think we are in danger of watching a sport where the home fighter can get loads of favours while the guy in the away is going to get fleeced...shame some 'fans' think this is OK, they enjoy watching the robbery take place.stevedoc wrote:it shows that when your with the promotor things seem to go in your favour ,ask carl froch about that... :)thepocketrocket wrote:I'm amazed it wasn't looked at. Glad you could see the eye to make that judgement call Dr Handsofstone.handsofstone wrote:The eye was bad but not bad enough to stop a world title fight, especially one where the impaired fighter seemed to be winning and also although Malinga was looking for the right hand over the top and was finding it more frequently i dont think it was having too much of an impact of the outcome of the fight, infact it was at it,s worst after the 8th and i gave Hall the 10th and 11th and 12th even and i,m NEVER(always) wrong when it comes to scoring fights

Fair do,s maybe the ref could have called the doc over to have a look but was it having too much of an impact on the fight,i dont think so,so whether a doctor gave it a looking over is irrelevant IMO as the same outcome would occurthepocketrocket wrote:Glad you could see the eye to make that judgement call Dr Handsofstone.handsofstone wrote:The eye was bad but not bad enough to stop a world title fight, especially one where the impaired fighter seemed to be winning and also although Malinga was looking for the right hand over the top and was finding it more frequently i dont think it was having too much of an impact of the outcome of the fight, infact it was at it,s worst after the 8th and i gave Hall the 10th and 11th and 12th even and i,m NEVER(always) wrong when it comes to scoring fights

Lebedev's whole head seemed to change shape - this wasn't as badcolumbo wrote:Eye eye captain... in all seriousness, Lebedev's was far worse IMO.
