'Nicest' boxer

Who would you say are the nicest boxer's you've encountered in british boxing? I mean their personalities don't really go with punching people in the head for a living! David Price is one that stands out to me! I know there's a lot more people in the know with boxers personally than me so who else would you put on the list?

I couldn't single anybody out. If I'm honest the list of nice boxers would be many, many times longer than the list of ones who aren't.

Ricky Burns by a long way, has time for everyone and he likes a chat. Never take Ronnie through training/sparring going to be there all day both love a chat ha. Most boxers I have met tend to be nice people don't think I've met too many idiots

John Conteh
Glenn McCrory
Ryan Rhodes
Herol Graham

They were all very happy to stop and chat. Tim Witherspoon was cool as well. He seemed stunned that I knew so much about him (I look like the sort of chap who if I joined a weight training class they'd start me on balloons).

i met tim witherspoon while he was at a show doing an exhibition 3 months ago ,he was the coolest guy i think i have met in a long time we had a few drinks together told a few jokes and after he asked if i wanted to go to the after show party which was me and tim going to a lap dancing club ,but i was with my mrs so i had to decline ....... i doubt very much if i ever get the chance to go a strip club with a former 2 time heavy weight champ ever again :-?

Totally biased but you'll not meet nicer boxing people than Rhodes Nelson and Graham.

Never met Nelson, but I bet you're right. I saw him getting his hair cut once but decided I'd look a creepy bastard if I went in to chat.

I was right.

I think the Ifilm london interviews in particular really show Nelson in a great light. Seems a great laugh to be around!
